I was excited to see and touch it. As soon as the doors of the V-Twin Expo opened I rushed to the Accurate Engineering booth where the 1st new Crocker motorcycle was exhibited. And I am not disappointed. It is visually identical to the original but of course internally fully updated.The1936 Crocker enjoyed the distinction of being the first production motorcycle in the USA to use an overhead valve engine, beating Harley-Davidson to the punch by 4 to 6 months before their launch of the “Knucklehead”. By reverse engineering Michael Schacht restarted parts production in 1997 and has created more than 1300 Cad-Cam drawings and almost 100 precision castings for their new vintage motorcycle. Crocker motorcycle has signed a contract with master engine builder Accurate Engineering to produce the new engine. Crocker new motorcycles are sold in kit form with each engine bench tested by Accurate. Engine is 61 cubic inch, 45-degree V-Twin, 60 horsepower hemi head. Top speed is 105 mph, with 3-speed transmission. I want to ride this one as soon as it out of the display booth on Monday afternoon. Well, I think I am going to wait for warmer weather. Today it’s 5 F in Cincinnati and maybe even much colder tomorrow. Inquiries about this new vintage by visting Crocker Motorcycle Company

Cyril,
Great article! I know you are enjoying what you are doing, but where you are…..brrrr. I won’t report to you the weather here at home LOL
Any way, I am north of your home and the current temperature of 56 is probably colder than where you live.
You know I am busting your chops : )
Have fun and keep sending us the reports. Wish I was there…. for real!
Mike

Cyril, you publish very interesting news. Keep up the good work.
The new Crocker Company took details to the infinite degree by testing all the metals of an original Crocker and using those very same materials to create the new visually correct Crocker. One difference is the metals available today are of a much higher quality. Also with Accurate doing the updated internals of the motor, it should be fairly dependable. The folks behind Crocker want to “do it right” regardless of cost.
