Tattoos For Dollars And Dollars For Tattoos

Yes, a Tattoo Artist career can be financially rewarding. But how do you learn? In a tattoo shop or in a tattoo school. Andrei Nichols manages the day-to-day operations of what he states as being the World’s Only Tattoo School. First off, the establishment is a registered, licensed trade school recognized by the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth. This allows giving certification upon completion of their courses. Why to go there?  Their tattoo and piecing course includes all equipment, plus theory, history, health information, mechanical training, and of course actual application of the craft itself. Wondering if the tattoo craze is slowing down with the motorcycle industry.

Well, have watched the Miami Ink show Off-n-on but haven’t seen a “biker” customer…

Lately thers seems to be more Tattoo stuff on TV than Biker-stuff.

So, if the above is any criterion, it suggests that there isn’t much of a corrolation between the tattooing biz and the biker biz.

(certainly not a double blind study, but a good hunch)

I think that TV created a lot of negative for true custom buildeers and tattoo artists. People exposed to TV thought these 2 professions were the new eldorado. A lot of new bad builders and bad tattoo artists entered the business. How many bad bikes and bad tattoos were created? A lot, giving a bad reputation to the good artists. Prices went down because these newbies wanted a piece of the cake and were dumping prices. Add a bad economy and the damage inflicted got more and more painful.

Hey, I got absolutley no artistic ablity but for 5600 bucks and 2 weeks time I could become a tattoo artist and compete with Jack Rudy, Brian Everett and maybe even get my own TV show….You believe this?…Then letme sell you the Golden Gate Bridge….Sorry the Brooklyn Bridge was sold last week.

    Right.
You buy a scooter, then learn to ride it.
Just as you buy Tattoo gear, then ya learn to be an artist.
The only difference is, in the former you screw up your own skin.
In the later, you screw up someone else’s.

The World’s Only Tattoo School has actually moved from MI to SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA. It’s still ranked #1…with more years as a licensed trade school than any other tattoo school in the world. They only take a few students per session and you have to be a good artist to enroll but you don’t have to have any previous tattoo experience. It’s actually an excellent program for beginners and experienced artists. The class I attended had a great mix of people with different levels tattoo of experience to learn from. It was totally worth the money!!! in fact, they give you enough equipment in your tattoo kit to earn back the money you spent on tuition. and now they even have dorm rooms available. All in all it was an awesome experience and i would recommend the world’s only tattoo school to anyone looking for some honest info about the tattoo biz and some quality hands on training from the best in the biz.
