Covingtons Customs released 3 new parts to its line of Diamond Edition parts.The fork slider covers are from CNC machined billet aluminum and fit 80 and onward FLH models. The finish is black anodizing with diamond-cut fins. To match the slider covers, Covingtons are also now producing diamond-edged Street Glide dash inserts and gas doors.The two other new parts work with the stock dash assembly on ’08 Street Glides, ’06 onward Street Glides, ’04 and ’05 FLHTCSEs. According to Diamond Heads they are the only people in the U.S. that are legally allowed to do this process. They have repetedly sued and put good people out of work. These people had been doing this procedure by hand, (which looks a millon times better by the way)a long before Diamond Heads some how manipulated the Patent Office. So I guess Covington must be paying them to do the work, or I’m sure they will be trying to exstort some type of payment real soon. Diamond Heads SUCKS!!
I saw these parts at Covington’s display in Myrtle Beach. They are just AMAZING! Not ohly do they Look “great they are Good Quality parts”. AND…Made in THE GOOD OLE USA. I just ordered some pieces for my 08 Road Glide. Can’t wait to get them on my Bike.
I would like to respond to the claims of Anarchy. First lets be clear as to what Diamond Heads claims to have rights too. Diamond Heads does have three United States patents and One Japanese Patent. The first US patent is a Utility patent that covers the cooling effect of Diamond Heads US Patent number 6626134 the other two US Patents are Design Patents that cover the look of Diamond Heads. As far as what the patents grant us rights too. The front cover of the patents read “ There fore this United States patent grants to the person’s having title, The RIGHT to exclude others from making, using or selling the invention throughout the United States of America for the term of the patent” Diamond Heads does not enjoy suing anyone but if we don’t defend our rights who will? We will continue to defend our patent rights as long as we have too. It is funny how the only people that whine about Diamond Heads are the people that infringe our patents. It is easy to go on a website and make false statements but courts don’t deal in false statements and that is why Diamond Heads has won every case.
