I wonder if they tried to by Harley yet?
I believe we will see this type of acquisition a lot in coming months as our industry recalibrates, large organizations picking up smaller, possibly struggling ones, with good products… it eliminates competition while broadening thier market. This is good for us, makes it easier to get the parts we need without filtering through a dozen different suppliers. As the weaker manufactures fall away of natural causes and the large companies absorb some of the others, I think it shows our industry is slowly correcting itself… we can see things getting in the neck of the funnel.
eliminates competition ?
Always a Good thing
Why would they buy a second wheel company when they already own PM?
I am guessing there will be a lot more of these deals coming down as the economy tightens up and the stronger take over the weaker companies.
Any body know if Rich A is still with them??
