I blog and you can too. As you know I open my digital space to anyone who has something interesting to say to my readers. Former guest bloggers included magazine journalists, custom builders, parts manufacturers and a few of you. It can be serious, it can be funny, it can be controversial, it can be whatever you want if related to the custom motorcycle industry and of course it must be written in good English. Providing a good picture to illustrate your thoughts is a plus. But don’t make your statements more than 300 words long. You can submit your deep thoughts or rants or funny stories to

    Is our Government Accountable?

    It’s so overwhelming with all that is happening. We have been through recessions before, overseas fuel dependency (remember the gas lines) and in the end everything worked out and I truly believe that it will. However what has happened recently was preventable. The prime rate debacle is having a negative effect on the housing market and in turn is having a ripple affect through world wide financial intuitions. The regulatory commissions and guidelines set forth back in 1929 (depression rang a bell) was instituted to prevent this from happening and look what happened. WTF!!! What went wrong here? I know what went wrong accountability, and greed. Accountability of what lender did not follow or found a loop hole in the lending principles set forth by our government regulatory guidelines. Greed that drives a company to find a way over the competition at any cost. Now we have elections coming and will they promise more of the same. Pointing fingers and NO solution!!! I just hope our next leader will do the right thing. You sure you want the government to take care of everything? Now they are thinking of bailing out AIG in doing so our government will be in the lending and insurance business. Do you think our government will fuck that up as well, fox watching the hen house. Hello, didn’t the government put is in a multi trillion $ deficit, and now they are in the lending and insurance business!!!!! OMG.

    Scary ,,,,,just remember what one of our great presidents said;

    “A government big enough to give you everything you
    want, is big enough to take away everything you have.”
    Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826) Patriot and 3rd President of the United States
