Not the kind that have fallen apart over time. And anyway they are not built, but aged…and just maintained.
Instead, Jeff Nicklus is in the process of building 20 new custom motorcycles for a group named “The Desert Rats Group” made up of American Citizens living and working in Kuwait. It just happened that Jeff already built bikes for the 2 founding members of these desert sand storm riders.
Nicklus is quick to state that “producing twenty (20) motorcycles that will be identical is quite a departure from my policy of never building two bikes alike. I did, however, negotiate a clause in my contract that allows me total artistic freedom in the design and manufacture of these bikes, thereby allowing me some latitude in making each bike different to some degree“. No word if Jeff is going to wear the Kuwaiti Dishdasha (an ankle-length white shirt woven from wool or cotton) to find his creative inspiration. Jeff Nicklus Customs.
Sounds like a cool deal. Any way we’ll get to see pics of the bikes when they are done???
SOUNDS AWESOME, GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR PROJECT JEFF

Jeff, since you probably know just how important it is to me that parts are made in the USA, I want to offer any of our products to you for these bikes at a special price. ( we have a great looking bobber intake) Great project and good luck!!!

Congrats!
Can’t think of anything better to make the ride of life better for American Citizens living and working in Kuwait. It really says something about your work that they permitted you total artistic freedom and I look forward to seeing what you create.
Wishing you the very best with your project.
More bikes for overgrown rich kids…
I can’t wait to see them… awesome..
Jeff,
That’s a great score for these times. I look forward to seeing pictures! If you have to wear the long white shirt, make sure it’s cotton, I can’t imagine wearing wool in Texas in the summertime. May they all come out perfect.
IGNORANTEH,
Describe overgrown rich kid for me lol.
Trust me guys I will get a good picture if he ends up wearing a toga looking thing to get his mind set on some sort of paint scheme for these bikes.

You Go Jeff…..Wish you all the best.
Congrats Jeff,
Couldn’t have happened to a better guy! Can’t wait to see the finished bikes!
The Jerboa or desert rat is a small jumping rodent that looks like a cute minature kangaroo.
First came to fame as the symbol for the Desert Rats, the British 7th armoured division formed in 1940 and still around today. They fought in the desert against Rommel with the Kiwis and other troops of the British empire.
Just a bit of train spotting
Good luck with the build

Thanks, Nicker. In my haste to wipe the tears from my eyes (due to the vision of Jeff bulding a bike with a toga on) I subliminally left out a few words…………. JOCKEY shift and suicide CLUTCH! peace brother
Over and out.
Thanks everyone for your kind words and support. As soon as I have the prototype bike complete I will send some pics to Cyril and he might just publish them here.
Burnout ….. Sorry Dude, no toga!
