Speed Around The Klocks

speedaroundtheklock1karleeklockerikaklocksbrianlauraklockAmong the veterans (the Salt Dogs) quite a few Custom Builders from different countries ready to show the world that they know how to tune their machines to run-in and very fast. Among them, the largest crew of racers is the Klocks Werks Team with not less than 15 people (add me for encouragements), 6 bikes and 4 racers! But the most beautiful part of the 2009 Klocks Bonneville Story is 1- Brian’s wife Laura Klocks , already holding a world speed record in the bagger class will pursue tomorrow another one in the PP-2000 class with a stock Victory Vision. 2- That youngest daughter Karlee Cobb, only 15 years old will go for the record on a Buell Blast in the class MPS-PG 500. Karlee was last year in Bonneville the youngest female to ever set 2 world records!!! 3- That second daughter Erika Cobb, 18 years old will race a 2003 Buell XB9 in the class P-PG 1000.  Mother & 2 daughters are the 1st ever trio to set Bonneville records in the same year at a sped event. And there is more, Michelle Mielke, wife of Klocks Werks main man Joe Mielke is also going for the maximum speed on a 02 Yamaha Road Warrior. Will tell you more about her in a next post…Klock Werks Kustom Cycles

Lets just hope the SCTO continues to keep TV out of the last pure motor sport competition venue.
Don’t need to see the salt go the way of Indy and NASCAR.

What can I say, Brian and Laura have been a constant supply of support for me, they give encouragement to everyone they talk with, They open their Home and Hearts to so many. Their Time on the salt is History being made. I have been so fortunate to paint this happening. They are the “Zeitgist” of the Industry, and there is much to be learned from them. I want to wish them Speed of the Spirits, and Blessings from God. Looking forward to seeing the updates and new Photos. I must say a “Big Thanks” to the unbelieveable custom transformation the Klock Werks Crew accomplished on My Husbands (Donnie) 03 Firefighter Edition, Every day I look at it, and cant believe its really done. It is so AWESOME!
    Go Get Em Girls.

Hey Klockwerks Krew: I am impressed with all of you… and the respect you have for each other, the race, the business and those machines…

Laura, Erika, Karlee… my girls.. I am so proud of you. You carry such inspiration with you and hard work, ambition, grace and faith… Keep going.. Ride fast and Ride Safe… you can count on that Krew to help make that happen, too.

Sounds like the conditions have not stopped you all from making progress. Keep’em rolling and stay on top!

  31. 31 Eric Genet Sep 2nd, 2009 at 10:05 am

Wow! It seems Kiwi and Klock are really in the biz for all the right reasons. After doing the V-Twin Expo with Kiwi the last couple of years I have been fortunate enough to meet and dine with Brian and Laura Klock (and their whole road-krew) a time or two. Kiwi Indian and Klock Werks are a great pairing…both on and off the track, in the business and at home!

As for speed…its about time Kiwi started running the Flats, ala Burt Munro! Seems the Klock Krew, now unofficially dubbed the Kiwi-Klock Krew, will be the force to be reckoned with on the Flats!

To Laura, Erica, Karlee and Michelle, and the whole Klock Krew, I cant wait to get to know you and your families…and that time is coming soon! Keep up the record-breaking rides and stay safe all the way!

As for the Kiwi Krew…well “Rocket” Ross Tomas really shined! Congrats to you, Rocket Ross…

Brian, Laura and the whole crew…thanks…Mike and Ross have been on cloud nine for quite some time now and I think you folks are some to blame for that! As good friends of the Tomas lot, Lesa and I are smiling too! Look forward to seeing alot more of you in the days and years to come.

  32. 32 Ross Sep 2nd, 2009 at 4:35 pm

Thanks for the great times togeather. We were close to our goal but still we are proud to set the record. You have a great team that welcomes everybody. Hope everyone has a good time be safe and go fast.

    Ross loves you all
