Hamas Bans Women On Motorcycles

palestinianwomanHamas, the Palestinian Islamic socio-political organization governing the Gaza portion of the Palestinian Territories, has banned women from riding motorcycles saying the move was in keeping with “Arab traditions”. Men are no more allowed to carry women behind them as they drive their motorcycles. Hamas police is also regulating women proper clothing attire and controls the type of relations between men and women to verify their “legitimacy”. I wonder if women are still authorized to ride a motorcycle if it’s a one way trip to blow themselves up front of a Jewish cafe terrace. The European Union, and the United States and three other countries have classified Hamas as a terrorist organization.

How sad that people used to living in the modern world are being forced back into the 18th century.
If Israel really wants to win the hearts and minds of the Gazans they should establish an ‘underground railroad’ to save these people, especially the women, from this radical religious slavery before it’s too late. Does anyone really believe that a young woman who enjoyed riding a motorcycle with her boyfriend suddenly decides that she prefers walking around under a long black shroud?

It’s a shame that Hamas doesn’t have a Patch, and that they don’t have a Club House in my neighborhood! Maybe some of the “Clubs”, can sanction Hamas so they all can Ride. Boy that would be beautiful, to be able to identify those Sand Scratchers. I guess they probaly wouldnt feel safe Riding with a Target on their back, so they should have everybodys Blessing to wear their Patch on their Chest. This way they can see their demise.!

    That really breaks my heart

    Good for Hamas!
The more stupid and degrading things they can think of & implement to quash the freedoms of “their people”, the less “their people” they will have as followers. Nothing makes the west look better than a good look at east 😉

It all comes down to the religious practices of a nation.

    Islam is slavery.

The greatest gift God gave man is Freedom.

No more Islamic women on the back of a motorcycles????? In my opinion that is just one less suicide bomber per motorcycle …… good job Hamas!

Right said joe…freedom is the greatest gift,Sorry for the women cause they have nothing to do with silly politics…

Most women on the planet would find such a regulation insulting. I feel sorry for the leaders of Hamas-They’ll be sleeping on the couch for the rest of this year!

Awwww! Too bad! I guess I never really gave a shit about the women of Hamas. The last thing we need is a bad woman driver with a dynamite vest and a period! You can take the raghead out of the stoneages, but you cannot take the stoneage out of the raghead.

    What are you talking about?

Bring all of them “towel heads” down here to the swamp.

We have the good ole boys that still rack the shotguns in their trucks daily, loaded, that will blow their suicide bomber asses off of whatever they ride. If they don’t get em, the gators will!

That is why we did not have any problems here like they did in Washington with the G-8 summit when we held it here at Sea Island!

    Long Live the South!!!

This is really unfortunate… Someday women like these will realize their lack of freedom and they’ll do what women in this country had to do a hundred years ago, and fight for their God-given right to not be the property of men and of religion. Either that or they’ll stay under the oppression they’ve lived with for far too long. Ignorance is indeed bliss, sometimes.

Then again, this is why I live here, where I can ride my bike, wear what the hell I want to wear, and speak freely against oppressive, chauvinist, religious zealots like the ones in this article!

    Thanks for sharing Cyril.

    To Trish,

Unfortunately Trish the woman that speak up about their rights don’t live long. The Palestinians are aloud to kill their unruly woman at will. The rest of the woman just want to survive and take care of their children. The woman then begin to suffer from the “Stockholm syndrome”. This is why it has been going on for over a thousand years.

The facts on the other side of the boarder in Israel are that woman can serve in the military, pilot aircraft, drive what ever they want, wear what ever they want just like hear.

BUT! Jimmy Carter says “the problem with the Palestinians is all because of Israel”.

Israel has had nukes for decades and have not used them.

Israel started the Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) in 1952.

France helped Israel obtain their first nuke by 1960.

Could we put that kind of trust in any other country in the Middle East? NO we can’t. That should be clear to everyone who the real problem is.

what a shame, I wish there was something I or we could do about this, To make the world have equal rights for all especially for women, If there was something for me to do about this without being kidnapped, jailed, raped, blown up and/or killed etc, I’d do it, These women who ride motorcycle are our sisters. Make peace, not war

  23. 23 Joe Skonecki Oct 12th, 2009 at 5:51 pm

    Just remember.

People in powerful positions of authority love power.

Thousands of Revolutionary Patriots and their Brother Brits had to die in order for the King of England to finally give the united colonies there freedom. Unfortunately war some times has to be the cause to gain the effect (freedom). Freedom is not given freely. This all had to happen so we could have the Constitution of the United States where our government shall never be a replacement of God or force religion on us.

I still see it is a possibly positive thing. I’m picturing Burka-clad women wearing concealed belts of plastic explosives and scrap metal, standing by their stoves and stirring the evening meal……….with one finger on the button……………waiting for their POS husbands to come home 🙂

I was so depressed last night thinking about the economy, the wars, jobs, Savings, Social Security, retirement funds, etc……

    I called Lifeline.

Got a freakin’ call center in Pakistan .

I told them I was suicidal.

They all got excited and asked if I could drive a truck.
