They are used to simulate running conditions for aluminum cylinders while checking cylinder run out, deglazing, honing and boring. Machined from 4140 heat treated steel and finished in black oxide. WOW! What A waste of 400 bucks! Same thing can be done for a whole lot less if you actually know what you’re doing!
