The Steve McQueen estate is ready to intensify the marketing of the name and image of the late actor/biker and just signed yesterday a three-year licensing partnership with Troy Lee Designs to produce a limited edition helmet line. The Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda Racing Team, which includes Wil Hahn and Cole Seely, will wear the helmet at this weekend’s Anaheim 1 race on Saturday, January 9 at Angel Stadium. Each helmet costs $525, with only 700 units going into production. This will be the first in a series of Steve McQueen™ helmet styles that will roll out over the next three years. The first helmet in the line will be available at select retailers in the U.S. and internationally in June 2010 at Troy Lee Designs. The Steve McQueen Estate is represented by GreenLight.

Those are awful. The “Steve McQueen estate” better watch out – it will trash a great and treasured icon of motorcycling and Hollywood if those in charge keep making dumb mistakes like this.
Did Steve McQueen wear a helmet?
Are those the helmets Steve wore in The Great Escape?
This is Pitiful !!!! Cant the estate get off their ass and do something for themselves? Let McQueen’s merits stand on their own !!!
SSDD( same shit different day); David
nice.
may have to buy one for my coffee table.
What do helmets have to do with Steve McQueen ? No one wore helmets back then !

Thats Funny.
Thats a flashy pieces…looks good.
Its not what comes to mind when I think of Steve McQueen. I would much rather see his image going the Paul Newman route with Newman’s own. Now thats a class act!
Not only are they FUGLY, but they are Off Road Helmets and I want to lnow where they are MADE? I don’t think Steve McQueen has ever been to China !
Great Product…….Wrong Association!!!
I think I will have to wait for the “Harvey Mushman” Limited Edition helmet.
Seems like like silly marking for a racing discipline that is geared towards
a younger group of riders.
LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING A CRACKHEAD WOULD WEAR,Steve will come out the grave and slap the bitch who designed it
Why wouldn’t they have come out with something that McQueen actually wore?
