More than 150,000 iPhone applications to choose from. And just a couple created specifically for bikers to help them plan their trips to spend more time riding and less finding their way. As a matter of fact these 2 applications are almost the same because the “Harley-Davidson” one is based on the “MAD Maps” application. These very similar iPhone applications (only $0.99 each to download from iTunes) give you all the essentials you may need on the road. Not only the fastest way to go from A to B but the most scenic routes and attractions that they know bikers will enjoy. There is a choice of 1000 rides within the continental US, turn by turn directions, points of interest, and of course the location of all Harley-Davidson dealers and Best Western Hotels, the chain affiliated with Harley for a reward program. Nothing better for $0.99. Download here.

To bad AT&T coverage sucks. Most likely whenever you would want to use this you would either have no service at all or no 3G service which means you will be done with your trip before the app loads. Cant wait til Iphone goes to Verizon.
Agreed with JSPFC it is a great concept for those who can use it. We have little or no coverage in South Dakota, especially the Black Hills and Sturgis. Give us an update if there is a product like this for Verizon.
Unlock and jailbreak the iPhone then use whatever network you want to. works fine if you never use iTunes.
Its only a matter of time before the Garmin’s of the world end up like the Hula-Hoop.
How about this app being I-pod touch capable??? This is only for I phone 3g.
at our motorcycle rental shop in los angeles we only offer maps, and are thinking about offering GPS.
I’m curious/wondering if this would be an alternative renters of motorcycles in the LA area, would be interested in?
