Although my Blog is now hosted on a “Cloud Server” (broad network access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity) to adjust to a new whopping 35% traffic increase during the last 30 days, you may experience short and temporary crashes when you log on my Blog.

I guess it’s the way my new hosting company is blackmailing me for more money for more server capacity. We work on this issue and I apologize.

the new font is a lot smarter and layout feels cleaner (on safari anyway) – but you are right it takes its time to load.

How do you find Rackspace to deal with?

@Chris – I’ve dealt with Rackspace on the Managed Hosting side for 6 years and it’s been a pleasant experience support-wise. On the Cloud side, the support is still decent but they are certainly experiencing some cloud growing pains and the site response times aren’t always great. How is (mt) working out for you?

Thanks. I’ve found (mt) mostly good once I got moved onto the newest servers — had downtime problems at first. Their customer service is first-rate and fast unless there’s some major issue going on.

Unfortunately I’m now busting my GPU usage limits, which either means a shift to a dedicated (mt) server or a cloud setup.

(mt) has its own cloud product in development but it’s not quite ready yet, apparently. They’re going to get back to me soon with some solutions, I’m told.

    Cheers

    Chris
