Holger Mohr. 2010 V-Twin Expo Industry Leader Of The Year.

As I reported from the V-Twin Expo on February 6th, Holger Mohr, President and CEO of Custom Chrome International was awarded the 2010 Easyriders Industry Leader of the Year Award. The award is given to the company who, in the eyes of Paisano Publications staff, is the industry leader having shown unparalleled vision, strategy and dynamic business sense over the past year. Holger Mohr told the audience that “this award was earned by everyone in the Custom Chrome family through  their hard work, dedication and perseverance”.

Since he was named President of Custom Chrome International Holger Mohr refreshed the products portfolio, redesigned the catalog, improved customer fill rates and satisfaction, reintroducing the company as a worldwide leading distributor of after-market Harley-Davidson parts and accessories. Custom Chrome is also right now embarking on a new IT transformation strategy to implement its enterprise cost management and supply chain.

From March 12 to 14th, Custom Chrome will begin its 40th Anniversary Celebrations during its Annual Dealer Show in Morgan Hill, CA.

Met Holger several moons back when he was interviewing people to help him rebuild Custom Chrome during the Cerberus ownership time period. It was a difficul time for him and Steve Veltri, but they had a lot of dedicated team members there. Big issue was being owned by an ill-informed capital group that wasn’t listening to him. Glad all worked out, Holger is good people and deserves the honor.

Congratulations Holger and Team Custom Chrome…it is an important time in the industry and doing what is right, honorable and beneficial to dealers, vendors and employees will always prevail over ego. In my many years of knowing him, Holger has always been a humble and deserving man that thinks of his team, vendors and customers first and puts himself second. It’s contagious and spreading fast. I’m honored to be a part of that…way to go buddy!!! KP aka Lil Evil!!!
