During last weekend Custom Chrome Europe Dealer Show in Mainz, Germany (show 12th edition and company 40th anniversary) 119 custom motorcycles were competing in the AMD European Championship Of Bike Building. Top 3 winners get a free trip to Sturgis to compete in the World Championship. I hope to feature some of these bikes very soon. Featured here is the top winner in the Free Class Categry: an Italian shop called Garage 65 (Marco Cinquini & team) with their Kosmo Drive bike. It’s a hub-steered very radical ride still being refined and rolling on racing rubbers from Moto-GP racing.
The top 3 in each class are. FREE STYLE. 1- Garage 65, Bike Kosmo Drive (Italy), 2- Headbanger Motorcycles, Bike Morning Sunrise (Italy), 3- Cycle Kraft, Bike One Eyed King (Japan/USA). MODIFIED HARLEY CLASS. 1- Abnormal Cycles, Bike FL 48 (Italy), 2- Unique Custom Cycles, Bike Forsaken (Sweden), 3- Sasse van Essen, Bike Skull Racer (Germany). CUSTOM CHROME MOTORCYCLE. 1- Kraftwerk Customs GmbH, Bike Coppster 36 (Germany), 2- Deathfield Chopper, Bike Gold Nugget (Germany), 3- TGS Motorcycles, Bike Vitus Motorcycle (Germany). Pictures by Horst Roesler.
The Sturgis prize winners were actually Headbanger, Blech & Drueber from Austria and Mucechoppers from Hungary due to the fact that Garage65 already won a ticket to Sturgis at Verona in January and Cycle Kraft were ineligible (the prize offered by CCE involves the winner having to get the bike to Frankfurt for air freighting so therefore only open to Europeans).
Can wait to see the bikes and the show ambiance,in the Blogs and Magazines.
We make Radical Custom Bike Show Pecquencourt 2010 and i can tell that is surreal.
Thank´s Mr.Nicolas Chauvin and MC.Pecquencourt.
Nice to meet Mr.Ger and frinds too.
I like it. Would love to see this in more detail so I can see how it is put together especially how the forks/neck work to turn the bike. I look forward to seeing more pics of this bike in the future.
Thanks Cyril.
The Producer
Nice matchingt shirts!
Italy rules! :o)
Excellent show once again – thank you to Holger, Andreas, Axel and all at Custom Chrome Europe for the hospitality and welcome.
Come on guys, one of the rules should be you have to ride it for 10 miles!!!just like the bikes in the AMD championship,a joke, what are we building bikes for freakin cartoons now!!!
In order to keep reinventing new creative designs on two wheels – I guess they will have to look like cartoons these days. Congratulations to Garage 65 and AMD for their quality shows.
Can’t wait for Sturgis. The AMD shows are about design, engineerig & inovation. They aren’t always practical. They are in a way “concept vehicles”.We don’t always agree with what we see but we applaud the builders for their vision & risk of design. We try to always find something in every bike to inspire us in our projects.People laughed at others who thought the world was round.Being a pioneer is a lonely rd at times.Congrats to any builder who has the sand to compete at AMD.
Well put Aft, Contgradulations to Garage 65, multi bella,,,,
Thanks to all builders who came to Mainz. You guys rule and without your support the bike show is nothing! It was really a hard competition this year again and I am glad that I had not to judge. Thanks to all vendors for their continued support, to Horst Rösler, Angelika, Martin (HRF) and Frank Sander (Thunder Media) for their hard work at the show getting all bikes through the photo stand. More pictures of the bikes and the show on our website.
I agree with all you guys, these are some very talented guys!!!,but to me you still have to ride it safely, comfortably,it not made to spin around in some art gallery and look at it,every thing in life has ying and yang, but you can get to far on the edge!!!
i saw this bike at the ace cafe show
and the attention to detail is second to none
but.!!! in my honest opinion its a beautiful work of art that looks like a motorcycle
if you cant hop on something like this and go for a good blast, and not just a ride around a car park to prove it runs.
then its just a work of art with wheels.
no disrespect to the lads who built it.
i do like it.
AMEN,beautifully said ger,now I guess Ill get off my podium and see what other interesting things Cyril has to offer!!!
