Joint Book Signing By Cris Sommer Simmons And Scott Jacobs During Sturgis Rally

Motorcycle personalities Cris Sommer Simmons and Scott Jacobs will hold a joint book signing at Borders Books in Rapid City, South Dakota between 10:00 am and noon on Tuesday August 10rh during the 70th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Cris Sommer Simmons is no novice to the written word. As co-founder of Harley Women, the first women’s motorcycle magazine, and freelance motorcycle writer/photographer, Cris collected scores of images and stories about women riders. In 2009 she authored the best seller The American Motorcycle Girls, 1900-1950, currently the #1 motorcycle pictorial book sold on Amazon. She is also a three-time Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductee and is  one of two women who will participate next September in the grueling 3320-mile coast-to-coast Cannonball Vintage Run.

Scott Jacobs may best be known for his ability as a photo-realist artist. With the release of his second book in 2009, The Art of Scott Jacobs . This beautiful coffee table book documents the amazing journey that brought him recognition and acceptance as one of the country’s premier artists. Officially licensed by Harley-Davidson since 1993 his art is exhibited in premier museums including L.A.’s Peterson’s Museum, Los Angeles County Museum, St. Louis Museum, Murrieta-Cobb Museum and The Milwaukee Museum, and has graced the cover of 14 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally magazines.
