Sturgis Glencoe Music Festival Moved To Monkey Rock

After rumors of festival cancellation at the Glencoe Camp Resort followed by a denial by its owner, an agreement was reached this Monday afternoon to have all the scheduled bands play at another location close by, The Monkey Rock.

The concert promoters, DC3 Global stated that an amphitheater will be built on a 25-acre. It seems that arrangements will be made to help shuttle those staying at the Glencoe Camp Resort to the new concerts location. All music festival acts are confirmed. Headliners include very successful alternative Rock N’ Roll bands like Godsmack, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, 3 Door Down, etc. Glencoe Camp Resort. (picture Godsmack)

That will sure make a hell of a traffic jam with all the bikes going to the Chip, Full Throttle and the other campgrounds all heading in the same direction.

That entire property is roughly 2.5 acres, not including the massive 40,000 square foot tent. There will be no room for parking. C-L-U-S-T-E-R

Stayed at Glencoe for many years and yes it all started when they got greedy and charging double for a little camping site a few years back. I believe it was something like $350 for one person and one motorcycle but included entertainment which I didn’t want or need. Now they are paying the piper. That year of the price increase they were giving rally goers free tickets to come see their shows as not enough suckers in the campground. Now I wish them the best !!

Hope Monkey Rock got a new sound company- Last years company had a Mr. Microphone and a AM radio and STILL didn’t know how to operate that.
