Sturgis Famous One-Eyed Jack’s Saloon To Be Auctioned

Most of you heard about the place and many among you have had a good time at the One-Eyed Jack’s Saloon in Sturgis. Due to health reasons, Ray Gold has reluctantly decided to sell his world-renown business complete with all real estate (45,000 sq.ft) boasting a modern and exquisite rustic log décor and prime Main Street location, liquor license, all furnishings, liquor inventory, vendor space and more.

One of the best spots during the rally to be entertained but also probably a good business investment. The business can prove it’s profitable and if one of you want to invest in the future of the Sturgis rally, there is an auction held onsite at 1304 Main Street, Sturgis SD. Auctioneers onsite Wed., Sept. 22nd and Sun., Oct. 3rd, 2010 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM each day OR call Martin Jurisch at 605-484-1353 for a private showing and more info.Building And Inventory Details.

Depending on price at sale time, loks like it could be a great investment opportunity for the right person. Whomever it turns out to be,he or she had better have good people around them. It is definitely aturn key opportunity with the hard part done.

This last Friday I had lunch with a friend at a little bistro across the street from One-Eyed Jacks …. it just didn’t seem right to look across the street and see the windows black and the property vacant. Oh well time marches on!

    Over & Out,

    Jeff

    Jeff:

He is just another victum of the rally pricing menus that they used over years at the rally.

Unless I start seeing lots more young people attending the rally I’m not too sure what future it has. When you look up and down the street most days you don’t see too many spring chickens walking up and down the street.

Not the story I heard from a few locals at the VFW this past August! Part of the agreement with the city of Sturgis and One Eyed Jacks was to keep the restuarant open year round and employ the locals The owner did not hold up his end of the bargain is being run out of town…or so goes the rumors with local Vets.

    West Coast Diva,

Firstly you have been watching too many Cowboy Movies, no one has been run out of town in over 100 years. If Mr. Gold violated a contractural agreement with the City of Sturgis Civil Litigation would have been filed.

Secondly, not that it is any of your business however, Mr. Gold is battling a serious disease and fighting for his very life. Much more important than this friggin bar.

Thirdly, How sober were you and the “locals at the VFW” when you chose to start this rumor?

its too bad Ray Gold is in such poor health. i wish him the best. i think he may be turning all his assets into cash to be distributed to his kids or whoever. it is time for Ray to finally retire. good luck to you Ray. i dont know who knows this but Ray also used to own froggy’s in Daytona. he sold it to start one eyed jacks. his history goes way back, i think he is in his mid or late 80’s.

Ray Gold is one of the nicest people i’ve met, I had no idea really who he was until today. He bought a 2010 MINI Cooper Convertible from me today, here in Orlando florida. What an amazing coincidence! I’ll have to get a picture with him tomorrow.

drama drama drama…….you know its sad that people cant just smile, laugh, and be nice to one another without all the negative bullshit….ray is ill and then maybe he is just burned out from all the crap that goes on with a business during the rally trying to make everyone happy and keep his shirt…try hiring employees that wont steal from him….its not at all easy….GOD bless you Ray..have fun in florida and your convertible mini cooper
