Kerker 2-Into-1 Super Megs Exhaust System

Since a couple of years 2 into 1 exhaust systems are very popular again. This Dyno proven performance and very clean looking model from Kerker. It is provided with a bracket bolting directly to the transmission side cover, which may help in some cases prevent exhaust flexing and cracking of the head pipe/muffler assembly. Included with each system is a three piece heat shield that has a unique design that provides full coverage for the front and rear head pipes and collector. Offered in either triple chrome-plated or black ceramic coated mild steel finish. For more information on this exhaust and others, see your local CCI dealer or visit Custom Chrome.

The 1977 styling works if you want preformance.

Kerker made Kawai’s 1000’s sound and run very mean back in the 70’s & 80’s. There are many choices besides the Kerker, White Brothers, Vance & Hines and Thunder Header just to mention a few. The question is in 3 parts, what you like to look at, what you like to hear & How much HP does it make?

You’d better get used to 1977 styling because that was before the 1979 EPA laws on your exhausts .
I would say great to performance(check your spelling Lyle)which I think people relly want and not to short open pipes that spell diaster for the industry(their ok for show bikes but not for the street).

I just bought a new BMC Chopper (a 2008 with 119 miles) and it came with the Kerker 2-into-1 exhaust and I think it’s great. Great power; good looks; simple. Less is More. Love the bike; love the exhaust especially the black with chrome heat shields.

Two equal length tubes approx. 39″ in length and 1 7/8″ in dia. into a 2 into 1 free flowing muffler of some kind. Best all round performance scenario for a v-twin engine, I’d guess up to a 100″ or so. Good back pressure and scavenging plus decent decibels in the sound department. We all need to wake up and can the drag pipes. Even if we weld washers onto bolts and stick them inside…THEY’RE STILL TOO LOUD … and they really lack performance on the street, especially in city traffic. They are designed to run WFO which most street bikes are not built or tuned to do. I think most of us could concede the drag pipes especially in the wee hours of the morning in suburban USA…
