Three years ago, I introduced you to Les Ateliers Ruby, a leading brand for exceptional custom and limited edition helmets. Inspired by Steve McQueen, Science Fiction…and the great tradition of French luxury, Ruby has for motto: “Good looks and safety for all the road heroes and heroines”.
Helmets are fabricated from carbon fiber, and include chrome plated trim, steel badge and lining made of Nappa Lambskin reminiscent of the beauty of vintage sport cars. Something to make you want to wear a helmet, even when not mandatory where you ride…
Three years after its debut, Ruby just opened a flagship store in the heart of Paris. If you visit the French Capital, I recommend you stop by and enjoy looking at unique helmets and an exhibition of rare motorcycles (address is 1 rue Herold, 75001 Paris). Ruby has also several retail stores in the US and a distributor in Los Angeles (Glory, 4569 Hollywood Blvd.) Outside of the US visit Boutique Ruby for exceptional custom and limited edition helmets, or contact directly contact@ateliersruby.com.
Went on their website. Beautifu helmets. Some too wild. How much?
Many many many dollars. Will be bought by hipsters, most of which don’t own bikes. Are leather lined. Sweaty anyone?
only $1800.00 for the Karl Lagerfeld one.
are they fricken nuts
FYI: Yes they’re nuts. I dont think motorcycles and high fashion are a good match.
Tightwads, Pitt and Clooney order them by the dozen.
Confederate sells them – workandcycle.com
LOL Georgia boy!
They look like $20 Bucos.
Georgia Boy, i don’t know what came over me if it’s good enough for the Pitts and Clooney’s i’ll take one of each.
perfect for the hipster fashion biker who owns a Knucklehead but no tools
Looks appropiate for the Dood riding BITCH, or the one’s that are light in their Loafers
Perfect for the hipster fashion biker who owns a Shovelhead but no tools, oil absorbent and some bailing wire.
They are stunning, extremely comfortable (the carbon fiber makes them ultra lightweight), well wearing, and the attention detail is amazing. I think founder Jerome Coste has done something pretty unique.
Perfect fit for the “period chopper” cult in So Cal. No more hassle of having your lid painted to match your Wassel tank…
I’ll stick with my Bell Drifter…
Ruby is really popular in France with everyday riders (bikes and scooters fighting Paris traffic, semi insane all), becoming more popular in Japan, and their styling is starting to be knocked off by the usual suspects.
Ruby is in a completely different league than any other helmet; so beautiful, so light and super comfortable. I’ve been to the new showroom; the interior looks like the helmets! The apex of cool. Jerome Coste is a designer to watch.
@Capn Neal – I guess your wife hasn’t showed you the last 10 years of ads for Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, etc…they all use vintage bikes in their ads. They get it.
For that price will they repaint when I get a scratch or chip in it?
only $1800.00 for the Karl Lagerfeld one.
