Whining because of too many matte black bikes and parts? Harley-Davidson is launching the Rally Mirror Chrome front fender for FL models. It eliminates the front light, side medallions and fender skirt to provide an unobstructed sweep of chrome (don’t expect to reinstall all these ornaments on this chrome fender. They will not fit anymore)
Harley=Davidson press release states that it is the perfect complement to a chrome front end and chrome wheels. I tend to disagree, and think it would look better on a black front end holding a custom black front wheel…This brilliant, mirror-polished chrome-over-steel fender fits 1994-later Road King® models and 1989-later Electra Glide® and Street Glide® models. It does not fit Trike models. MSRP $449.95. For more information, visit your dealer or Harley-Davidson Website.
Let’s make a 180 deg. From black to chrome…
A chrome front fender with a painted rear fender? Huh.
It would be more interesting if Harley would create a new front fender design. Are they able?
Nothing like the contrast of chrome on chrome…
Someone needs to start a chromaholics anonymous
I saw one of these at a dealer this summer, they look just as bad as it sounds!
Needs to be some color contrast between the fender and the front end …. I think anyway.

More Chromosexual fodder. peace

Chrome it and put it in the catalog…
Would have been a big seller… in 1986.
I’m not knocking it, it’s just 25 years too late.
Perhaps would look good with some trim paint, you know, as a two tone paint/chrome color scheme shared with the tank and rear fender… but again, that is a little too mid 80s style!
I wonder if anyone ever looks out any of those windows at the motor company, or if the design department is not allowed contact with the outside world.
Hi:
I just now joined up with http://www.cyrilhuzeblog.com.
I’m hoping to take a look round a bit and make contact with interesting men and women and learn a few tips.
I am hoping this post didn’t get put in a bad section. I’m sorry if it does.

Let’s make a 180 deg. From black to chrome…
or its like they flip a coin chrome or black, you call it
and when the coin rolls under a filing cabinet or they loose it, they open a magazine or Kuryakyn
catatouge and get creative
I agree with Jeff, There is just too much chrome. Maybe if you were to powder coat the front end including the lower legs and also powder the wheel then it may look better, at leasty you would have some contrast in color but even then this reminds me of a 1970s Honda only using the over sized HD fender instead of a smaller fender model like on the old Honda’s. I guess its just not my taste but I am sure some will like it and if some buy it then its good.
May work on smaller fender like on a FX but that big hunk of chrome make the frontend look off balance
Yaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn !
These comments from all the guys crack me up……. keep’em come’en
What a “brilliant” idea.
Placing large pieces of chrome on a motorcycle.
Maybe the Co could have a Sheet Metal Exchange for chrome parts, tank and fenders.
Then while riding one could see a reflection of themselves ” going and coming ” literally. LOL
Where’s my shades! Wiz
Guess the commies got their chrome tanks from the closed down American chrome shop up and running
Come on now those guys and gals that ride the FL models will have a mirror to brush their hair.
What was the first things we used to take off of our British Twins? (hint: rhymes with “domed blenders”) Can’t blame the MoCo for trying but I have to question the allocation of effort compared to the ideas that actually make it to the catalog. Wonder how this fender would look on the “Curious George” bedliner bike? http://www.cyrilhuzeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/unrestpaint21.jpg
would this fender fit on a hydra glide? If it does, I am going to buy one and use it. Chrome sheet metal is cool
Probably would look Sharp on a FLSTS Springer !
I guess the design dept at the Company have run out of new ideas. I know just make a 100% chrome bike that will win new buyers over. . . NOT!!
Chrome can be addictive…..but love the vintage feel of chrome fender.
I’m waiting for the chrome Gas Tank, Front End, side panels, rear fender…maybe even the saddlebags…then I get me a chrome helmet and go blind EVERYONE!! HA!
WTF? What are they thinkin?
STUPID!!!
maybe they will like it in India
