Living The Life. Portraits Of The Human Struggle For Freedom And Expression.

Never buy any book about the Biker Lifestyle without checking the credentials of those authoring it. Doug Barber a.k.a. Q-Ball, the master photographer, and Eddie Sorez Pliska a.k.a. Sorez The Sribe, the highway poet, have shared the road with the old school and hard core bikers during more than 30 years. As patch holders, separately and together, they have been riding, partying, and mixing it up with the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Decades ago, Doug and Eddie chose the path less chosen and they are among the very few having both inside knowledge and talent, respectively photography and poetry, to tell us about our two-wheeled forefathers. But don’t expect this book to be an addition of anecdotical tales about the biker lifestyle in 1 percenter clubs. It’s much richer and deeper than this. Authors took a brand new approach, using camera lens and profound  poetry words to build a prism refracting the multitude and most beautiful lights of their culture whose foundation rests on an infallible code of honor.

Although encouraged during years to publish a book about his unique collection of candid black and white photography, many factors kept Q-ball from this dream. One of them being that he didn’t want accompanying words to stereotype or caricature his beloved lifestyle.

Fortunately for us, his friendship with Sorez The Sribe made his vision possible, resulting in the production of an art book where images are full of poetry and words conjure the most beautiful images of the real biker lifestyle.

A beautiful production and emotional tribute to “those who rode before us, those who paved the way, flew their colors, chopped their rides, lived to ride the day..” (words borrowed from Sorez The Scribe) To order a signed and personalized copy from Q-Ball, log on to his website at V-Twin Biker.

    That History….Great Pics…!!!

Makes ya wonder how they ever survived without any-lock brakes, road-side assistance, cell phones, electric-starters, not to mention $1500 wardrobes….. 🙂

I’ve been waiting to get a hold of this book and I will soon do so.

I also have Flash 1%er’s photo-books put out by his daughter. They are also excellent.
