New in the Arlen Ness 2011 catalog are these 2 “Deep Cut” shifter rods . Particularity, in addition to “shift up” design, is that unlike traditional shifter rods with unsightly helm joints, each end has a pressed in bearing for a very clean look. Designed to work on all HD models except FDX/FXR, XL. Made out of 6061-T5 aluminum. Arlen Ness.

    I think I’ve got Arlen beat. Instead of drawing attention to the shift linkage by making it bigger, I did away with it altogether.
