Artist David Uhl is in Los angeles at the International HD Dealer Meeting presenting his just finished 7th Sturgis commemorative painting. It represents a famous landmark, and a unique road that winds outside of town called Sly Hill Rd. As always some canvas giclees fwill be produced for all those that would like one for $895, framed and shipped. David Uhl will be closing the edition the day after the rally to keep the number confined to those that ordered one, insuring a sold out edition. This always makes the value jump in the fast lane. David Uhl.

Sly Hill road? Never been there in Sturgis. Just above downtown?
Very nice work. His use of lighting is spot on. I didn’t know Carmen Diaz could ride.
Nice taste and classy.
I sure hope the artist doesn’t get sued by SMRI for using the name Sturgis without a license… I’m just sayin’
awesome work…. one question though. Is that supposed to be a headlight between the downtubes of the frame? Just wondering, I can’t figure it out.
Beautiful and, of course, sexy!
Boss Hawg
Junction st north turns into Sly HIll Rd. COOL view up there! peace
Hello Eric, to answer your question, this 40 knuck has two headlamps mounted low on the crash bars, they are pointed slightly out to spot deer waiting in the bush, and creates an unusual night signature approaching oncoming traffic. The bike is ridden mostly on mountain roads in the rockies. thanks cyril
thanks David, would love to see those lights lit up on a foggy night
Great work as always. Nothing says American hot rodding like a springy and a highboy. In all your work I try to superimpose myself in character , in this one I am the guy with the goofy looking grin checking out the hottie on the scooter. Besides I WOULD LOOK AWFUL IN THAT HALTER. Your paintings are always an adventure in mental voyeurism , the deeper and longer you gaze the more you mentally melt into the moment. The true test of any art form is the thoughts , mental images and feelings it produces in the viewers mind. Art is the opportunity to think , suppose and conclude. Awesome again Dave.
