New And Interesting. Cool Ride Liquid Heat Shield Coating.

It comes from Industrial Nanotech, Inc. a very reputable player on the market of energy saving solutions. The company is launching a new safety coating product to reduce surface temperatures of hot exhausts on motorcycles, motorbikes, ATVs, and sport bikes.

Nansulate® Cool Ride is the newest product addition to the Company’s patented Nansulate® line of high tech insulation, energy saving, and protective coatings. Nansulate® Cool Ride is an easy-to-apply clear liquid insulation that reduces heat conduction, provides a thermal insulation barrier, and lowers the surface temperature of hot exhaust pipes on motorcycles and other riding equipment.

Nanotech Cool Ride is a safe, easy to apply patented formula. The company states there is no other product on the market that can do what Cool Ride Technology will. It’s a water-based formula applied onto exhaust pipes using a typical paint sprayer, roller, brush, or applicator. Once covered with a coat, let the exhaust cure in a dry environment. Repeating this process multiple times will give you the most benefit of an extremely cool exhaust.

The company is aggressively launching Nansulate® Cool Ride through their website, through the Company’s global network of distributors, on dedicated Facebook and Twitter sites and at Ebay

So if the heat from the exhaust gases doesn’t get dissipated through the pipes it ust stay in the exhaust increasing the pressure inside the pipe? Any ideas on the performance effect of this?

hmmmm…. water based? Wonder how this really holds up on motorcycle exhaust? I am looking forward to hearing more.

If it works it would be great for use on the pipes under saddlebags. I wonder if it’s applied before a pipe blues if it will prevent it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed on this stuff working as advertised.

    BobS,

This will actually be a performance enhancer. As exhaust gasses cool due to conduction, they slow down. This will “keep things moving” so to speak, much like ceramic coating and/or header wrap.

I for one am extremely interested in this for my personal bike.

Perfect for the lean condition of late model production bikes.

I did a little research, the product looks very interesting, but it should be noted that it has a cure process, which can take up to 3 months. It works up to 400 degrees and then can start to flake. I think it still is a cool product, but folks should know it has some guidelines for it to be effective.

SAM, ACTUALLY IT WILL INCREASE THE LEAN CONDITION BY PROMOTING BETTER SCAVENGING OF THE CYLINDER AND WITHOUT MORE FUEL GOING IN WILL ACTUALLY INCREASE THE LEAN CONDITION OF THE MOTORCYCLE
