Rock Guitar God Slash With Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators To Play The Sturgis Buffalo Chip®

The Sturgis Buffalo Chip® welcomes influential hard rock Guitar God Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, to The Largest Music Festival in Motorcycling™ on Friday Aug 10th, 2012 during the famed Sturgis motorcycle rally. Slash, a member of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, has been on the forefront of American rock for many years and is one of the best-known guitarists in the world. Slash, who wrote some of the greatest rock anthems in the history of rock with Guns and Roses and who co-founded the super group Velvet Revolver, is set to ignite the Buffalo Chip’s main stage on August 10th for a never before seen show in South Dakota.

Grammy award winner Slash, who was born in London, England and moved to Los Angeles with his parents at age 5, burst onto the Hollywood hard rock scene in 1985 with the band Guns and Roses. Guns and Roses produced six studio albums and accumulated sales of more than 100 million albums worldwide. While he was with Guns and Roses, Slash helped the band change the face of Rock n Roll forever by writing musical riffs and guitar licks like those in the song “Sweet Child of Mine,” which Guitar World magazine once rated as the world’s most memorable guitar lick ever written. Over the last year, Slash, who has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, has continued to make great music as a solo artist and entertain crowds around the world with several different bands, including Slash’s Snakepit and his super group Velvet Revolver.

Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, joins an amazing growing list of major headline performers at the Buffalo Chip’s annual Sturgis Concert Series, including Eric Church, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Zac Brown Band, BOSTON, Sugarland, Buckcherry, Candlebox, Loverboy, Shinedown, Adelitas Way, Saving Abel and many more. Admission passes and camping reservations for Friday, August 10th can be made now at Buffalo Chip.

    All the same old cliches,
“Is that a woman or a man?”
    And you always seem outnumbered,
You don’t dare make a stand

    Them boys sure are pretty!
