This is about the tilt enjoyed while riding an FX sport-shift jockey.
With the FX shifter cam, the shift lever would mover backwards for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th…. following the forward motion of the machine. So true. So spiritually centered. God-like and you know it.
The rider’s in 3rd gear. Were he to reach up for the shift lever, and rock the clutch pedal back all the way to the foot board, then pull the lever back into 4th, and release the clutch in the apex of this turn, the flywheel inertia would propel him, early enough, that the rider could break the rear tyre free and side-slip every so slightly, before the rubber found purchase with the road.
I can remember riding at night in the 60′, kick stands scraping, sparks flying, three chop’s hauling ass, then the cops pulled us over, ticket time, what a blast from the past. Thanks I needed that.
Very cool picture.
The new interstate center stripe braille markings have really transformed biking for the visually impaired.
The lower your biker wave is the cooler you look right?
