Bean’re Motorcycle Nomad. The Real Meaning Of Being Free.

Bean’re is a well known character in the motorcycle industry and beyond. If you still don’t know him, don’t count among his many friends around the world, here is your opportunity to discover the man before you meet him in one of the many motorcycle events he attends all year long (just look for his signature top hat and the flashy suit he wears during biker parties)

We all talk a lot about pure freedom, but how much do we know about it, live it? If anyone in this world is free, truly free, that someone is Bean’re. Free from the 40+ hour grind, from the credit card and mortgage payments that dog most of us…Motorcycle Nomad, his just released book (in print this week and shipped beginning of August to coincide with the Sturgis Rally)), written with the help of moto journalist and books author Timothy Remus, is the non-fictive story of the life-long adventure he has chosen to pursue, without a regular job or a permanent address, riding an old chopped Road King all other the country. Money? Bean’re earns enough working as a carpenter when needed or as the paid emcee at a Sturgis roadhouse to keep gas in the tank and decent tires on his very unique purple motorcycle. Poor? Of course not. Rich of pure freedom, of so many friendships around the world and much more.

In this inspirational tale, Bean’re explains how and why he gave it all up, what he gained along the way, paints with anecdotes his daily nomad life on and off the road, makes you smile, makes you want to be him for 1 month, 1 year or more… Motorcycle Nomad can be pre-ordered at the Wolfgang Publications Website. Once on the publisher web site, just click on the cover image, then the online order process is easy. Anyone who orders early will save two bucks and get a free Bean’re sticker to boot. Total sale price is only $16.95 with free shipping available to the lower 48 states. Bean’re Motorcycle Nomad. (book cover painting by artist David Uhl)

I thought about this lifestyle for a while but having dogs always kept me tied down. No regrets. It’s always good to hear about someone who is doing it though. I hope his book sells well and earns him enough money for a front fender. 😀

I wonder if “Bean’re” is a take off from nicknames such as “Bean” or The “Beanster” but preferring the play on words through the spelling of “The Bean’re” or just Bean’re. I dunno. Having a nickname that has been used many different ways over the last 35 years is nothing new to me. 🙂

For those people that do not know Kevin Bean’re personally, are honestly missing out on an Extraordinary human being. Not only is he “the mayor of fun” But he has a heart of gold. Kevin will go out of his way to help any and everyone. No matter what the task is. He lives life to the fullest, makes everyone else around him have just as much fun and keeps everyone smiling and laughing.
Recently Bob and Elisa Seeger lost their young son Aidan to a horrible illness ALD.. Kevin was in, I believe Kentucky. There were problems with the bus he was to take to get to Brooklyn NY for the service, His dedication as their friend, Bean’re Hitched all the way to NY. I had said Kevin everyone would have understood if you didn’t make it. His response to me was “I told the Seegers I would be here and I will be…he was… Bean’re really is a great guy..much love and emotion in his heart as well.
Love ya Kevin, so glad I can call you my friend…

Kevin Bean’re is one of the most impressive people I have the privilege to call friend. I have ridden along side him and partied with him in Sturgis, SD as well as in his hometown of Louisville. His life is amazing and I can’t wait to read the book! I look forward to every chance we get to hang out with him in person!

  8. 8 Heavy Metal Jul 15th, 2012 at 12:27 pm

I live in the Louisville area and have never come across Bean’re. Guess I will have to ask him where he hangs out when he is in town.

Kevin is probably the one person everyone aspired to be at some point in their lives, but never could quite just chuck it all. He is the richest man in the world that has no money. I am proud to call him friend.

  10. 10 Bigtime Jul 15th, 2012 at 2:05 pm

Best of all… He is a Marine!…Semper Fi Bean’re. I too want an autographed book! Rogue, need to give you some money for a copy! I can’t go due to business opportunities and possibly a my company’s future! Congrats Kevin!

I am not silly enough to consider myself a “friend” of Bean’re’s but I have broke bread with him and he is a nice guy. Doesn’t drink, I don’t think he smokes and never heard him say a cross word about anyone. So that makes me want to be his friend. Can’t wait to read the book.

  12. 12 J. H. Jul 15th, 2012 at 5:34 pm

Thank you Bean’re, for being a true Hero for us to aspire to be.

  14. 14 bean're Jul 15th, 2012 at 9:03 pm

I have many friends and whether we have rode cross country together, friends on face book or you have just seen my pictures around in publications, I still consider each and everyone a friend.
The name Bean’re is just a nickname that I have had since grade school. I explain that and many many more things in my book.
I will be at the Crossroads, an all new free area located at the main gate of Buffalo Chip this year. Come by for a signed copy and I just may have some stickers for you too. David Uhl will have his painting of me that I used for my cover also. Lots to check out.

So your telling me I do not have to buy the book a head of time and bring it with me to Sturgis?
I like the fact I will be able to get one while in Sturgis and get it signed at the same time.
Since I will be at the CHIP for a lot of things that will work.
    Looking forward to seeing you.

We certainly have a great cast of characters in our lifestyle/industry. I think we all like to live the Nomad life a little vicariously throught Bean’re.
    Congrats on the book!

  26. 26 Cochise Jul 16th, 2012 at 11:16 am

Bean’re? This guy is so full of it, it’s pitiful. Full of what? Well, I’ll tell you the truth about this cat………………he is full of “what it’s all about”.

As I have said many times before in writings, and I do not want to hurt anyone’s feelings as I have many friends and acquaintances that ride a lot and they ride hard, but Bean’re is the “epitome” of a true biker. He’s the man when comes to riding 2 wheels on a persistent and constant level.

He is a tramp, tramping all over the world, but especially at home, (BTW, that’s not a put down, that’s a compliment). He is comfortable in that role, or in the Ritz (wherever that place is), or on South Beach sipping Latte’s with the beautiful people. He can share a can of Beanie Wennie’s with a another soul on the side of the road, or he can dip a $10 cracker in a bowl of caviar with the President of the USA.

Many can only dream of what he sets his mind to do, and does it.

I’m glad I know him, and he knows that he always has a place to crash in Daytona, as he has done before. I’m proud for you and your new book. May it do well.

    Cochise

P.S. But he is full of something else though……….camera hog…………….LOL.

P.S.S. Thanks for the Chopper’s Inc Coat. Between you and Ray Ray, another true man of the wild ride, ya’ll have kept me in clothes.

  27. 27 Cochise Jul 16th, 2012 at 11:24 am

One more thing. The best advice he ever gave me was this (after I slapped someone at a party…..long story and I was kind of beating myself up over it).

“You know Cochise, some people do need to be slapped from time to time. They just need it”.

  28. 28 Kevin Boyle Kustoms Jul 16th, 2012 at 12:14 pm

3 weeks he was with me at my shop last year ..he was a kind man with a good soul …helped him out on a motor rebuild and a few other things and I also want a SIGNED copy! I will state he is a MAN of his word and I am Happy he had come to mass!
    Ride on Beanray! Ride on

  29. 29 Doug Jul 16th, 2012 at 12:27 pm

  32. 32 Edgar Gaudet Sep 5th, 2012 at 8:25 pm

Just finished reading the book on 3 days. Just wished that I would have read the book before meeting him in Digby, Nova Scotia at the Wharf Rat Rally. At least I got a picturew of one of my grand sons with the Bean’re. Looking forward to meeting him again someday.
