This bike was featured in a recent episode of Discovery/Velocity Channel’s Cafe Racer TV Show and think it is a quite interesting contraption. It was built for actress Katee Sackhoff (both a tomboy and girl-girl personality) by a small shop I never heard about with the unexpected name of “Moto Classified”.
It is based on a 1987 Honda XL600R dual sport frame and motor and for suspension uses a 2006 Triumph Sprint 1050 ST single-sided swingarm moving via a Progressive Suspension under-seat mono shock. Result is appealing to me, and if it is for you, this custom order is now going to be duplicated for a price around $16,000. I like these guys philosophy when they declare: “We don’t have any notions of what is a proper bike to own and enjoy, so we work with what’s available to create unique recycled motorbikes that transcend their humble beginnings.” Moto Classified.
That 600 is a bad boy anyway but in this config I bet it is a blast to ride. Deputy Vic is my favorite character of Ms Sackoff’s career. Ride on Girl!! peace
Interesting…
It’s called Classified Moto they make some cool stuff.
Very cool and unique. It would look really cool if you did the back end like an early ’70s silver CR-250 Elsinore MXer with a rear fender and faux airbox cover/numberplate. Kinda like if someone took an old Elsinore and made it into a modern Supermoto bike.
Very nice work!
Great job – this is the future.
Nice ride, I have no idea who she is but a nice bike none the less.
