S&S® Cycle Introduces The 4″ Race Mufflers For Harley-Davidson Touring Models

S&S Cycle introduces the 4″ Race Tour mufflers for 1995 – 2012 Harley-Davidson® touring models. These mufflers are designed for maximum power and are louder than our other muffler offerings for baggers. Choose from show chrome or Jet-Hot® black ceramic finish, and either all steel mufflers with a slash cut end or mufflers with alloy end caps. End caps are available in chrome or black Xylan® finish. Race Tour mufflers designed for alloy end caps are sold without the end caps so you can select the mufflers you want and match them up with your favorite end caps. You can also change your mind and switch them out to suit your mood.

Fitments: 1995 – 2012 Harley-Davidson® touring models with non-catalyst mufflers (except 2010 Road Glide® and Street Glide®)
2009-’12 Tri Glide® models with non-catalyst mufflers

Features And Benefits: Produces exceptional mid-range to high-end torque and horsepower. Loud, aggressive sound with Race Tour Baffle Fits all stock and aftermarket headers. 4″ diameter is the same as stock mufflers. Right muffler has special clearance for axle nut

    Another one jumping on the 4″ bandwagon….. and NO mention of reverse baffle cone shape to make up for the power loss associated when going to 4″ mufflers.
    My MGS exhaust would blow this one out of the water.

    I suppose it’s a good thing they’re marketing race parts for touring models – but when will someone market a batwing fairing, stereo, bags, and trailer for a destroyer and vr1000?

    The exhaust market is so over populated right now. But its not over polulated with systems that work well. The Head pipe chosen to work with these mufflers will make a huge difference in how they work as well. Especially the late model O2 enabled bikes. Which is exactly why I like to sell complete systems which not only have good reversion characteristics but proper O2 sensor placement. We’ll see how these work, as for now, I’ll stick with Freedom Performance as my product of 1st choice on Baggers.
