Kids On Motorcycles. A lawmaker, Sen. Bill Avery, has introduced a bill (LB181) that would make it illegal for any child younger than 8 years old to ride on a motorcycle in Nebraska. At least five other states – Arkansas, Hawaii, Louisiana, Texas and Washington — have enacted age minimums for motorcycle passengers with the ages limits ranging from 5 to 8. A spokesman for the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) says his group prefers passenger restrictions that are based on physical size and weight rather than age.
Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson Dealership Sticking With Usual Spring Rally Dates This Year. Last year the dealership tried to create one two-week-long bike rally instead of having the Harley rally followed by Atlantic Beach Bikefest during Memorial Day. It created initial confusion and then criticism. In 2013, the dealership will go back to roughly the usual dates (in 2013, May 13 through May 19), while Myrtle Beach is promoting the dates of May 10 to 19. The Myrtle Beach Rally took a huge hit when the city of Myrtle Beach passed in 2009 a city helmet law and other laws that were eventually overturned. Many bikers abandoned the rally and swore to never come back.
$2500 Cash For Carbon Trade Bonus. Zero Motorcycles Launching an all-new promotional program to support their 2012 model line. “Cash for Carbon” is designed as a consumer trade-in bonus, with $2,500 in additional trade value on top of whatever amount the dealer offers the consumer available towards the purchase price of a new 2012 Zero Motorcycle. This incentive is presented in addition to the recently announced 10 percent federal tax credit available as part of the American Taxpayer Relief Act, offering up to an additional $2,500 in incentives for new Zero Motorcycle consumers. “Similar to the ‘cash for clunkers’ government promotion in 2009, Zero aims to entice traditional internal combustion engine motorcycle owners to make the switch to electric,” said Scot Harden, Vice President of Global Marketing for Zero Motorcycles. “In offering a $2,500 trade in bonus for new customers, we expect this promotion to be a great sales tool for our nationwide dealer network.”
Sturgis Brown High School Will Offer Space To Vendors During The 2013 Annual Motorcycle Rally. The City of Sturgis will serve as the leasing agent. Still, the school board members are concerned that the rent received, which is estimated at $40,000 based on last year’s discussion with the city, would be absorbed into the district’s general fund instead of being used for specific programs or projects.

Heed or suffer. You need both. One for “sleep healing”, one for “immediate pain relief”. Non-greasy.

The “Murrells Inlet Rally” ,as we call it now is still thriving. People are coming back to this rally and the smaller crowds just make it even more enjoyable. Less traffic, room to move around at vendors, shorter lines for drinks at bars and beautiful weather…..stay away and miss the good times…..still not a dime to Myrtle Beach from this guy……
