I wasn’t going to speak up…but I thought…I want to, after all I am a consumer of the mother company’s product line for many years. So with all due respect, here goes:

I dig the soft shell jacket. Will serve great not only for cozy riding, but for rollerskating, skateboarding and it looks great so could be just as an accessory for regular street wear outfits, too. Though the price is excessive. $160? Too full pricey. Full retail, maybe $125 — tops, relating to the designer-type name. And then I’d wait for a sale to get it for maybe $80. And, what does that shell jacket do? Is it wind resistant? Is it water resistant? What other lovely tricks can the jacket perform? I purchased a Patagonia soft shell jacket many years ago for a trip to Daytona from NYC and that little honey kept me sooooo warm and dry (wore under my leather jacket, and rain gear) even with driving cold rain and sleet, no electric wear. I still wear it all the time. Under leathers, under rain gear or just plain. I paid $65 full retail for it.

A waterproof leather jacket is fun. I love the idea and would wear it so I can look stylish in the rain, and versatility of course!. But, again, the price??? Starting at $425? It doesn’t have enough jaw dropping style to capture a price like that. Does it have actual removable armor? A zip out fleece? What else does it have to capture the starting price at $425???

Why the big prices on a fine rider’s stylin’ purse?

    : )
