Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Celebration. Pope Francis Blessed 35,000 Bikers.

pope1pope2pope3Last Sunday, 35,000 bikers who descended on Rome to celebrate Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary were blessed by Pope Francis during the Mass on St. Peter’s Square. 800 lucky winners who were allowed to park their bikes on the road leading to St. Peter’s Square.

“I greet the many participants of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle rally, and also those of the State Police Motorbike club” said the Pope during his weekly Angelus blessing. The day before, David Uhl presented to him “Chance Encounter”, his new official Harley-Davidson commemorative painting,

The Rome event proves again and again that Harley is a formidable marketing machine, as much as it is a great motorcycle maker

The Catholic religion, though smaller in devotee numbers, is much like the “Wheeler’s” which is THE largest transcendental gathering of pot-addled minds world-wide, where our “110th” is celebrated weekly – on the reverent day of trash collection.
“Trash Day” is when the soul has the opportunity to re-new itself every 7-days. Devotees gather all the past weeks remnants (beer & wine bottles, unmentionables, etc.) which are all ceremoniously gathered into one large vessel and rolled to curbside.
Sometime in the wee-hours of the morning, clerics come to take it away. The next morning finds the devotee re-born and ready for another 7-days of who-knows-what.
