2013 Sturgis Broken Spoke Campground. Live Concerts With Korn, The Black Crowes, Queens Of The Stone Age, Garry Allan.

Korn1The Broken Spoke Campground located in Sturgis, South Dakota and Live Nation announced that metal legends KORN will perform live in concert on Tuesday, August 6 as part of the 2013 Sturgis® Motorcycle Rally. KORN comes on the heels of three previously announced concerts that are on sale now including THE BLACK CROWES on Sunday, August 4, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE on Monday, August 5 and GARY ALLAN on Wednesday, August 7. The series of four concerts are part of a recently announced partnership between the Broken Spoke Campground & Resort and Live Nation.

Additional entertainment including added concerts and motorcycle events at the Broken Spoke Campground will also be announced in the next several weeks. The Broken Spoke Campground at the 2013 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will be open from July 29 – August 11.

korn3About KORN: The two-time Grammy-award winning band KORN formed and began recording in an underground studio in 1993. In 1994, KORN release their self-titled debut album, which peaked at number 72 on the Billboard 200 in 1996 and later became double platinum. The album also sparked the nu metal genre and is said to have established the new wave of metal. Since then, KORN has release 10 studio albums. Eight of the band’s official releases are certified platinum or multi-platinum, and one is certified gold. The band now consists of members Jonathan Davis, Brian “Head” Welch, James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, and Ray Luzier, and is said to currently be finishing their 11th album, to be released in August or September.

Camping: Camping reservations for the Broken Spoke Campground are available now. The campground is a clean, beautiful location where attendees can pitch a tent anywhere on the 600-acre lot. Tent camping is not assigned sites and vehicles can park at their campsite at no extra cost. The Broken Spoke Campground offers oversize RV and motor coach with 30- and 50-amp hook-ups, including water and sewer pick up. There are also a limited number of cabins still available for rent.     Finally some good bands to play a biker event.
    I am tired of hearing “Born to be Wild”.
    Korn is a good band, so is Queens of the Stone Age.

    Korn is a GREAT band live. Seen them a few times, they jam. Even better now that Heads back in the line up.

    Wow, I was all excited about the opportunity to see Queens of the Stone Age, but don’t think I’m going to cough up $54 to do it. That isn’t entirely unreasonable, I guess, but more than I want to shell out.
