Harley-Davidson Offers “Air Conditioning” For Your Upper Body

Hydra1Hydra2Designed with evaporative Hydration Technology for maximum cooling, the new Adjustable Hydration Vest (P/N 97371-13VM, $55) delivers air conditioning for your upper body. The 100 percent nylon quilted vest is lined with polyacrylite crystals that fully hydrate when soaked for up to 10 minutes, then evaporate in high temperatures to keep riders cool. The crystals last approximately one year or 50 uses. Mesh panels on the shoulders, chest and back provide extra cooling, while adjustable side belts offer custom fitment over your riding gear. 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material delivers enhanced reflectivity. Available in M, XL and 3XL sizes.

Hydra3Hydra4The Hydration Skull Cap and Neck Guard Offer Extra Cooling. The Hydration Skull Cap (P/N 97805-13VM, $20) is constructed from 100 percent polyester mesh while the Hydration Neck Guard (P/N 97808-13VM, $30) is made from embedded 100 percent nylon. Both are fully hydrated when soaked in water for 1-2 minutes to deliver slow-release evaporation. The one-size-fits-most Skull Cap incorporates a gathered elastic band on back for a stretch fit. The Neck Guard utilizes a hook and loop closure and is available in S/M and L/XL sizes.

The Hydration Vest, Skull Cap and Hydration Neck Guard are available now at most Harley-Davidson dealerships. To find a dealer near you, call 1.800.LUV.2RIDE in the U.S. or Canada.

Weren’t these sold a few years ago and then pulled from the market? What changed?

Women look good in (smaller diamonds than shown) quilted pattern, form-fitting vests with slash front pockets and full brass zipper.

They look really, really good in them.

And… if you’re going to use my idea, keep the large Harley-Davidson® motto placement addiction down to, and not to exceed:
    1. One (1) tiny font “state prison worthy” (Latino rooted) “Harley-Davidson” script, with the detailed, compressed flourish SCRIPT, that one would see on the neck of a seasoned convict. Such script (go to the source, imo) may be placed across the top shoulder blades of the garment (vest), or around the back of the neck-ring where everyday people normally wear them forever.
We (over here) suggest that you use same color thread for the script, providing an esoteric effect to the viewer (not a ShOcK-Ad, ok?) 🙂
    2. Paramount to the entire piece is the placement of the beloved Harley-Davidson “Oak Leaf” design (preferred by clubbers world-wide as their own “stamp of approval” for anything cool), in small-relief embroidery on the left chest – to rival Polo® and Izod® and then stop right there.
Beat them into submission with quality [french seams, YKK zippers, superior fabric and thread] and consistent fit, form and function.
    3. If you don’t over-do the Harley-Davidson® logo-thing (crowd erupts with applause), HD can’t knock those sleeping giants on their collective butts in the world of durable-clothing. Understand (whoever’s calling the shot over there in Milwaukee) Nobody Wants To Be a Free Walking Billboard anymore. 🙂

Good for one year or fifty uses

At $56 … Bend over and spread em, you won’t even make it thru the summer with out buying 2

They had me up to that ’50 uses’ part. You know what will handle more than 50 soakings? A cotton T-Shirt… and it won’t cost $56 either… well, not unless you really want it to.

Heck, I’ve had my vest for 5 years from COOLVEST and it still workfine. I don’t get the 50 uses for H-D. Maybe they could not use the same technology?
