The 2014 Cannonball Endurance Run will start September 5th from Daytona Beach, FL to end in Tacoma, WA on September 21st. Registration for the coast to coast adventure on a 1936 and earlier motorcycle has closed a long time ago. But this year, you all have a chance to win a “Cannonball Golden Ticket” to participate for free to this iconic event (registration fee was $2500), motorcycle provided (a 1936 Harley Knucklehead owned by Matt Olsen and prepped by Carl’s Cycle Supply), mechanical assistance on the road and all expenses (allowance of $60/per day for food, $60/per day for gas and lodging) paid by the sponsor “20th Century Racing.” Even your air fare from anywhere in the world to the event and return back home is included in this “one in a life time” sweepstakes grand prize! “This is a turn-key deal. You show up for the start in Florida, and we’ll take care of everything until we reach Washington” says Matt Olsen.
The promotion just got started and ends on June 20, 2014. You can enter either by sending a postcard with your name, age, address, phone number to Carl’s Cycle Supply 38518 142nd Street, Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401 (no purchase necessary) or make a purchase of a Sponsor package at a cost of $500 ) consisting of a Commemorative Tin Type Knucklehead Print, a Special Event t-shirt, Cannonball Golden Ticket Poster and individually embroidered Carl’s Cycle Supply Shop Apron. Buying a Sponsor package doesn’t increase your chances of winning.
The second place prize is an all-expense paid trip from anywhere in the world to visit the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee Wisconsin. They will have a private guided tour of the museum and power train factory as well as a behind the scenes look into the Factory Archives. Winners will be selected in a random drawing.
