2014 Daytona Bike Week. Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson Store Reopened On Main Street.

harleystoredaytonabisAfter a $150,000 renovation, today February 21, Bruce Rossmeyer reopened The Harley-Davidson Merchandise Store On Daytona Main Street. The store located at 510 Main Street sells Harley-Davidson branded apparel and accessories, but not motorcycles. It is is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Rossmeyer family bought the 1,455-square-foot building on Main Street in 1996. They operated a merchandise store there until 2005, but never sold motorcycles there. Since then, the storefront space has been rented out by the family to vendors for Bike Week and Biketoberfest. The other Rossmeyer Harley-Davidson store on Beach Street stopped selling motorcycles in 2011. Then it was turn into a Rossmeyer museum and merchandise store that was closed in October 2013.

The Rossmeyer now owns 3 remaining Harley-Davidson dealerships, Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach FL, a dealership in New Smyrna Beach FL and one in Grand Junction, CO. Following Bruce Rossmeyer’s death, 5 other dealerships have been sold. (photo@daytonajournal)

From 6 big HD dealerships to a T-shirt store on deserted Daytona Beach, FL main street. Sad.
