May Is Motorcycle Awareness Month

motorcycleawenessmonthShare The Road.
All motorists are reminded to safely “share the road” with motorcycles and to be extra alert to help keep motorcyclists safe. Motorcyclists have all the same rights and privileges as any motor vehicle driver on the roadway.

During Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month in May – and during the rest of the year – drivers of all other vehicles and all road users are reminded to safely “share the road” with motorcyclists, and to be extra alert to help keep motorcyclists safe. Motorcyclists are reminded to make themselves visible to other motorists.

Ride Sober
Alcohol affects those skills essential to riding a motorcycle – balance and coordination. So, it plays a particularly big role in motorcycle fatalities.

The NHTSA states that statistics show that the percentage of intoxicated motorcycle riders in fatal crashes is greater than the percentage of intoxicated drivers on our roads. This is why NHTSA urges all motorcycle riders to always ride smart and sober.

Please send this as a text or mail so the dummy on her cell phone can read it while she is driving in the lane next to me.

If I going to be killed by a texting teenager or a idiot putting on make-up or someone on a damn phone then I hope I am drunk so I don’t feel the impact!

I too watch the drivers – especially those that sit at a junction looking like they’ve just had their brain removed via a spoon in their ear – err duh wah? – THEN when they pull out in front of you you are ready
I find a brick often helps!!! plus a loud wake the eff up horn….
