These should be popular with the “club bike” crowd. Actually a new product that stresses function over form.

Like the elevated look on a Sportster. For those who ride…

Finally, a mod that makes sense from a riding standpoint.

I love how Harley doesn’t have the sense or will to do this on a stock bike. Better ride, and to satisfy the cool kids, just add a bit of sheetmetal to the sides of the rear fender to make it look “lower” around the rear wheel. Harley could easily afford this without adding a penny tot he MSRP because it already makes such a ridiculous mark-up on Sportsters (since they did all the R&D decades ago and essentially keep selling the same bike). I guess it does not need to since lemmings will keep buying the stock junk with crappy rear suspension.

Gonna put these on wife’s 1200 Low, so I can enjoy it too.

I’m glad to see the new, younger crop of riders eschew some of the traditional modifications that degrade rather then enhance overall performance…”club” bikes, for example, make much more sense to ride than hula hooped front tired draggers, er, baggers…tighter budgets = tighter style?

13 inch is the stock length for the 883R surely? – one of the reasons I ride one here in England..

Longer forks and longer shocks means more ground clearance, means I go riding on A & B roads and not motorways…

Just need to sort out all the potholes now… we are now getting road signs saying – bad road surface , road under permanent repair, 20mph speed limit… and its a 60 limit road !!!!

Anyone going by Sportster Mike is ok in our book! You are correct, the R spec Sporties did indeed come with a 13″ shock, but since that time, very few XLs have. Our evil plan is to open up style and riding opportunities with a low cost suspension upgrades. Look for more in the near future.

I won’t say anything about putting sexy stilettos on a girls bike. I won’t say anything about putting sexy stilettos on a girls bke. I won’t say anything about putting sexy stilettos on a girls bike…

Nice! Burly’s “evil plan to open up style and riding opportunities with a low cost suspension upgrades” makes a whole lotta sense. Good to see rideability going forward instead of backward as we so often do.
