John Peck, former Vice-President of Manufacturing at Vance and Hines and Leigh Crawford, former Manager of Research and Development also at Vance and Hines, have partnered to launch Firebrand Design, LLC. Firebrand manufactures and designs aftermarket products for motorcycles. Focusing at launch on exhausts for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, they plan on expanding to other products and manufacturers. Firebrand’s first products, the Loose Cannon Slip-Ons for Touring Models, are currently available. Size is 4″, fitting all Harley-Davidson 1995 and up. Products for Sportster, Softail and Dyna are currently in production, and will be available this summer.
John Peck, has 15 years of experience in the motorcycle industry, and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. John is the President of the company and manages day-to day business operations. “We saw an opportunity for a company that could combine the experience and production capabilities of the large corporations, with the passion and creativity of the custom shops” said John.
Joining John will be Leigh Crawford, f, and designer of some of the most well-known products in the marketplace. As Vice-President of Development, Leigh will be responsible for driving product creativity and ingenuity. “We don’t want to be just another exhaust company,” said Leigh, “as an enthusiast I am creating products that not only push the limits of style and design, but provide riders a tremendous value. I wish them all the best, but I’m skeptical. Even a market as small as Victory already has about a dozen aftermarket options for pipes already. H-D has to be what 2-4 times that? More options are always nice but is there any room for innovation left?
Hope they’re better quality than Vance and HInes.
I still say Cycle Shack is the best value out there. The market is already way over saturated with exhaust manufacturers and most of their products are overpriced. That new Victory bobber is one sharp looking and good performing sccot. I can’t ride anymore as I’m nearly blind now, but if I was looking for a new ride it would probably be the Victory. I remember a certain U.S. president with an M.B.A. but I won’t comment on him. Hopefully Cycle Shack will start making pipes for Victory’s for you Victory owners. I’m not a fan of V and H. One of the two owners of Firebrand is a M.B.A. from U.S.C. As if a M.B.A. will make you successful in the aftermarket motorcycle parts and accessories market. I’ve forgotten more about scooters than that M.B.A. will ever know and I’ve only got an A.A. degree. Enjoy the Memorial Day weekend and look out for drunk and distracted drivers.

Pipes are almost like a fashion item on bikes, or 90% bullshit 10 % substance……

I agree with you completely. Those are the ugliest mufflers I have ever seen. Joshua, in a post above, thinks they’re “cool”. They didn’t quote a price, but I’m guessing around $500 just for the mufflers. If I was a betting man(and I’m not) I’d give this company a year or two, max. Maybe TC Bros. can copy these as one of their future projects. Have a great Memorial Day weekend, everyone.
