Is there a better definition and illustration of a “Rolling Piece Of Art” than this BSA 500 by Hazan Motorworks? The kind of custom motorcycle that doesn’t need any explanation or tech sheet. So, I will limit my copy to reproducing Maxwell Hazan philosophy. Admire and enjoy the photography.
“Motorcycles are an artistic medium. I approach the process as if it were a painting or sculpture, each part is the same as a brushstroke. I don’t build choppers, bobbers or cafe bikes, I love beautiful creations regardless of category. I start with a motor or an idea and let the lines dictate what to build around it. I dont believe in compromise or ego in the creative process. The piece should reflect your willingness to build whatever you can imagine.” Maxwell Hazan, Hazan Motoworks.
Wow!
This is a beautiful, flowing piece. The details are incredible.
And it looks rideable.
Stunning
Not a wall piece, a real rideable bar hopper.
Beautiful! I think my favorite part is the oil tank.
A rolling piece of ART it is. Nice. ..Z
That is beautiful! Can’t say which part is more stunning as it is such a work of art….
Sweet. Art work

I say “Wotta sight glass!
Mr Hazan’s inspirations and works are always fantastic!
Maxwell Hazan: “Motorcycles are an artistic medium.”
Me: “No, they aren’t! They are means of transport.”
Starting with this fundamental difference of opinions, I don’t think we will ever agree on anything 🙂
This is a young man that has great talent and understanding. I would guees that Max Hazan could build anything.
I am willing to bet anything that he truly understands what rideable means. So looking forward to seeing this talent grow. He will.
Outstanding work. (Less is More…)

Judging by the “suspension” (or lack there of) i’d like to know in what alternate reality does such “ride-ability” take place….???

His bikes are rideable in the sense that if you aim them at a stretch of empty, straight and smooth tarmac they will indeed roll along. But for me, rideable means riding on actual roads with traffic on them and that requires things like suspension, brakes and oil reservoir that is not a glass bottle. In my view suicide shifters have no place in modern traffic either.
It is beautiful, but rideable is relative. My definition of rideable is daily rider. This bike could be that if you’re say…..5’2″ 110 lbs. Us old fat boys would have to add a little something to keep the seat from achieving penetration. In the wayback I had a buddy in the Keys that rode a 53 pan w/ suicide shift, ape hangers, (big ones) and a foot clutch. Mike may have been 5’4″ 140. Maybe. It’s about what you’re used to and comfortable with. I’m 6’6″ 270, I’ll just enjoy looking at this one. The oil tank is extremely cool and hopefully made of lucite or acryllic or some such. Glass would be worrisome for a daily rider.
Beautiful piece of art!

No such thing….. unless your a break-in-biker.
(no one except an absolute idiot ever committed suicide shifting)

Looks very pretty… but pretty useless too.
Beautiful , artistic, both apply to this bike. Rideable ? Not so much!
