Eva Hakansson. World’s Fastest Woman On An Electric Motorcycle.

Eva Hakansson set a new record at the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials 2014. She is now the world’s fastest woman on an electric motorcycle with a top speed of 241.901 mph (241.802 mph average on 2-way run) In this category for this type of vehicle, it is the first time in over a century that an electric vehicle beats an internal combustion machine. Congratulations to Eva and her team Killa Cycle Racing.

According to both Killa’s as well as the official Bonneville sites … the actual record is for the fastest Electric Powered Sidecar M/C. Not the overall sidecar record .. which is substantially faster . Eva does now hold the record for fastest woman on a bike . But I’m guessing that may not hold for much longer

    ColoradoKid. On a sidecar!

A brilliant achevment but that is not a Motorcycle its a Trike.

    Sidecar & trikes are motorcycles.

Ok my mistake, its a sidecar but is it really a Motorcyle? Whatever it is she has bigger Balls than me. Go Girl.

Frank. A Trike is not technicaly a Motorcyle, a Motorcycle has 2 wheels not three. Oxford English Dictionary “a two wheeled motor driven road vehicle without pedal propulsion” Hmm how about off road Motorcycles……….. ill throw that out to the rest of you.

I would call it the world’s fastest trike, not bike. Nonetheless, seeing an electric motor beat an internal combustion engine is impressive. Wonder if it is air-cooled.

I agree with Guy, a trike is a tricycle

doesn’t make any difference what you guys think….the ama has rules which she fullfilled. as far as the ama is concerned, a trike/sidecar is indeed a motorcyle by their definition for their speed records. i was there on the salt for the record….it was indeed killa

For those who didn’t watch it to the end, there are two wheels in line and a 3rd sticking out to the side. Kinda sounds like a sidecar setup, no? Whatever it is or isn’t, everyone she beat was in the same class 😉

Congratulations sweetheart , whatever that thing is.

I would argue the point that a trike (trike – three wheeled motorcycle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trike) is not a motorcycle. But then if I have to explain, you wouldn’t understand.
