Gone South. The Spirit Of The Road.

The open road provides a pathway to the uncontrolled spirit, a state of being that is universally felt yet so challenging to capture through a medium.  And it doesn’t matter the brand of motorcycle you are riding… Shot in Knolls, Utah near the Bonneville Salt Fats and in San Rafael Swell in Southern Utah, as well as some lonely highways and dirt roads between the two.  Music by “Future Islands”

Directed by: Skylar Nielsen. Director of photography: Ian Rigby. Cinematography: Josh Fletcher Adventurers: Lance Clayton & Nelson Bruggeman
Campers: Pat Fenelon & Corigan Kushma.

I have my FXR and my dirtbike (KDX) … Often when I am riding either, I run into situations where I wish I was on a dualsport … shopping ..

    RE:
“… the uncontrolled spirit, a state of being that is universally felt …”

In CA not so much anymore.
The people here increasingly yammer for more Nannystate freebies.
The schools have driven the need to be a rugged individual out of the kids.
All the adults want is 99 weeks of unemployment.

Few of the self proclaimed “Bikers” know how to ride.
Even fewer of them know anything about their scooters beyond the fanciful name of their paint job.
The government is increasingly limiting where ya-can ride your dirt bike.

There’s an election cumming up…. more “Hope & Change” on the way.
