3M has been a force in the scientific community for more than 100 years. From waterproof sand paper to Post-It® Notes, 3M scientists and engineers are constantly at work to create new solutions for every day needs. One of their latest innovations is the 3M Paint Defender System, a spray-on paint protection film that applies as a liquid and dries into a clear, durable, removable film.
Last year, 3M introduced the Paint Defender System, an affordable paint protection film that sprays onto vehicles as a liquid and dries into a clear, durable, removable film. It took 3M scientists more than 8 months, 240 unique formulas, extensive testing and a multitude of 3M’s proprietary technology. The 3M Paint Defender System is now available for less than $45 on Amazon.com. A video showcasing the system’s detailed development process.
Great idea…. I have motorcycles where this could be a plus. There are pre-cut clear plastic like sheets to fit motorcycles that cost about $100 They fit well but a bit of a pain to put on. My concern with your product is how is it applied and if it is applied by a spray can how do you get a thick enough and even coat???? This would be a concern for protection and the ability to peel it off…………..
I’d love to have this work out for I have a lot of motorcycles and friends……………..
Thanks…………..H.Leal
Google it Henry. there’s youtube vids that instruct and enlighten.
This stuff is not exactly cutting edge. I was spraying saddlebag lids and fronts like two or three years ago.
I prefer the sheets.
Does anybody know how it would hold up under a spray detailer???
Or would it take it off / dissolve it ?
