New. The Flare™ Low Windshield For 2014-Up Harley FLH Models.

flarewindshieldThe Flare™ Low for 2014-up Harley FLH models is the new addition to Klock Werks already released 6.5”, 8.5”, and 11.5” other available options. The factory fairing on the models 2014-up sits 1” higher than previous years, justifying for some riders the availability of a lower windshield.

Klock Werks Flare™ Windshields feature “hips” at the sides that re-route the wind away from you while adding downforce to the front-end of the motorcycle to improve stability vs. riding with the stock windshield. The flip at the top of the Flare™ redirects air back as clean, less turbulent air for rider and passenger. The Flare™ doesn’t just block or push the air, it redirects the wind to improve your ride.

The Flare Low is approx. 5” high. It is available in Black or Dark Smoke finish at Kustom Baggers or at your local Drag Specialties Dealer.

You don’t know if a windshield is for you until you try them all!

Klock Werks Flare Windshields have always worked exceptionally well for me. I’ve run them on my baggers for some years now and it’s the very first modification I always make. Yes, the screen needs to be matched to the rider’s dimensions, but get it right and it works a treat.

I went from the stock 4″ to a mid-sized wind screen on an 07 Street Glide. I liked it a lot better than the shorty (less buffeting), but the top of it cut right across my sight line (I’m 5’7″). So, I replaced it with a Klock Werks Flare wind screen as soon as they came out and I LOVED it (no buffeting and at speed it creates a bubble that protects you from the weather). After 50K miles on the Flare, I transferred it to my 11 Street Glide and put another 35K miles on it. When I got my 14 Street Glide the old Flare wouldn’t fit the new bike, so I shopped. The new vent fairing design significantly reduced buffeting with the stock shorty wind screen, but I wanted a little more weather protection. So I bought an H-D Wind Splitter, assuming it was similar to my old Klock Werks. IT WASN’T and furthermore, it defeating the vent so buffeting was significantly increased. So, I bought another Klock Werks — this one with two more inches of rise. Wow! The Klock Werks Flare is the best wind screen I’ve ever owned. Sorry I almost strayed.

Yeah, you do have to try them for rider fitment , but a lot of them won’t let you …

With the Klock Werks “Try before you buy” program you can try out a Klock Werks screen at any of their registered participating dealers. I won’t use any other screen, they really are that good. The high speed stability you can achieve on a Road King fitted with a billboard flare has to be experience to be believed.
