Low and tight, the Burly Brat Seats were inspired by the Japanese take on custom Harley Sportsters. A style of bikes and seats that has spread to the US and Europe. Carefully shaped to follow the frame rails and blend nicely into the gas tank. Available in 2 configurations, solo or two-up, and in 2 cover stitching patterns.
Made by Burly Brand. real deal American craftsmanship shows in the materials and top shelf construction. Ribbed or diamond pattern cover is wrapped around a proprietary high density foam balancing style and comfort. Burly also uses a durable fiberglass pan and the entire unit is made in the USA. The Brat seat is a straight bolt-on and applications are available for most 2004 thru 2015 Sportsters. Check out the Burly web site or contact your local dealer to get one for your Sporty. Own a 03 1200 Sportster. Starting right now a full customization job. Interested by the 2-up. Leather, vinyl? Does Burly intend to offer a retro looking AC and round headlight, Bates style?
Odd…..Sully’s Customs has been selling an almost identical seat (both versions) for years now….Burly usually aren’t copy cats.
Need them in a brown or tan color, too
Don’t see how the front solo seat is attached.
Seems Burly has spotted a gap in the market to be a ‘one stop Sportster shop’ – I think it is smart.
Many people have Sporties and would be keen to ‘transform’ it, but do not have the time to hunt through catalogs, or the money to get a pro to do an extensive custom.
Eg compare it to the (great) work done by DP Customs (the definitive Sportster masters) and compare it with a Burly Cafe Kit. While it will never be a custom, I reckon you can get ~80% there with a Burly Kit, in your shed. Not bad.
Burly is a “straight up” company
if they found a “niche” More power to them !!!!
That style is not for me, but I hope they sell the hell out them
Burly get’s it right again! Looks good.
You guys are awesome! Not sure about “one stop”, but we do really like Sportsters.
David, check out Low Brow or J&P for the Bates style stuff.
Jesse, late model Sportie seats run a tongue in the front that’s captured under the rear tank mount.
Look for a ton more new stuff this year.
Time for Burly to build a full custom (radical) Sportster showing all their parts. Body kits? Just saying…
I like small brands filling the big guys void.
Brat style isn’t just parts.
Hey Burly. What about a body kit for the Scout, the Sportster competitor.
