Indian Motorcycle Partners With Zac Brown Band For U.S.O. Program

ZacBrownIndian Motorcycle, in recognition of Armed Forces Day, today announced it has signed an ambassador agreement with Grammy® award winners and multi-platinum artists Zac Brown Band. The band, an avid group of motorcycle and power sports riders, will promote the Indian Motorcycle brand through various brand initiatives, most notably lending support to the company’s new partnership with the United Service Organizations (USO).

Indian Motorcycle has a proud military history, lending bikes to the war efforts of World Wars I and II, and currently offering a motorcycle discount for current and retired military personnel. The company also recently announced a partnership with the USO, donating $100,000 to the organization in 2015. Zac Brown Band has a long history of supporting the U.S. military. The band members are USO tour veterans who have entertained more than 20,000 troops. In partnership with Indian Motorcycle and the USO, Zac Brown Band will meet with select troops on some stops of their 50-city North American Stadium Tour. This band is crossing the country in support of their recently released ‘JEKYLL + HYDE’ album, their third consecutive number one on the Billboard 200.

As one component of its support for Indian Motorcycle and Indian’s support of the military, Zac Brown Band will donate tickets to each of its 50 shows for Indian Motorcycle to provide to military personnel and first responders. Select tour stops will feature a premium concert experience for troops selected by the USO, including a meet-and-greet experience with the band, pictures and autographs, a special video presentation, and more. Those tour stops include: June 4, Charlotte, N.C. June 5, Virginia Beach, Va. July 3, Denver, Colo. August 15, Philadelphia, Pa. September 11, Chicago, Ill.

Not sure that Indian & Country music are such a good match… For me Indian goes with Rockabilly.

It doesn’t matter who they are whether you’ve heard of them or not. Anyone who supports the USO has my blessing. It’s a great organization, offering comfort to traveling soldiers (often on their way to deployments) at airports in the form of food, sleep and relaxation areas, and computers to use. While oversea I’m able to call home to my family if I can’t manage to locate the right SIM card. Even though I use their services, I still leave some cash in the jar. Everyone who works in the airport USO is a volunteer. It’s really great for the lower enlisted who often don’t have the means,or even the life experience yet, to get around on their own. I’m sure the USO does much more than I’m aware of,but these are my own experiences.
That said, I meant no disrespect toward the military bike further down the page. I just didn’t (and still don’t) think it worked. But kudos to them for what they’re trying to do.
I’m working on my second military tribute bike myself, so these projects have a special meaning for me.

Hey where’s TJ? This is a positive post on Indian motorcycles teaming up with a popular music group to help the USO…should he be educating all of us on just why such an effort is folly and sure to fail before it ever has a chance at making any impact?
