Actor Marlon Brando’s 1969 Harley FLH Is For Sale

brando1Although Marlon Brando as Johnny Strabler in the iconic movie “The Wild One” gave him a kind of biker image, he was not at all a gearhead as was fellow actor Steve McQueen. But he in 1970 (well after the “Wild One” was shot and well before he starred in “The Godfather”), he bought this 1969 Harley-Davidson FLH Electra-Glide on which he put 13850 miles.

brando2brando3And now it’s for sale online with a starting bidding price of $100,000. This motorcycle is not the bike featured in “The wild One” (that was a Triumph Thunderbird), but it can attract very high offers. Auction ends June 26, 2015 at 10 a.m. PDT. Ready to bid? Jump HERE. Hammer price will be?

It’s funny to see people try to bash others who have accomplished sooooo much more than they ever will.

I always did like Marlon Brando.
People can stay at Brando Island in Tahiti! No wonder he never came back, Marlon had good taste.

    Cheers,
    Richard

Why is practically everyone getting so up in arms about this ? The only thing that matters is … is it authentic … and if so is someone willing to pony up the money to buy it assuming there’s a reserve on it . And yes we did Mike C .. though truth be know ” Easy Rider ” was the one for me .

Marlon, & the Wild One (1954) started it, the mid 60’s gave us Peter Fonda & Nancy Sinatra chopper movies, Billy Jack, Easy Rider was the icing on the cake. Get your motor running, head out on the highway !

Well, that is the $64K question.
    How was it authenticated?
Anyone seen a pic of Brando on a late 60’s bike…..???

    Just asking.

There were a bunch of places on the east coast that claimed “Washington slept here.”
(he couldn’t have been awake long enough to lick the Brits)

If all the Boomer “suicide shifters” who claimed they road a bike to High school there wouldn’t have been any room in the parking lot for cars.

Well if he did over 13000 miles on it its allot more than some of the Kerosense Kowboys do these days. That is not a modern luxury liner like we stuff our arses into these days.
But Chino was the cool guy everyone wanted to be………………………………
