Laconia Motorcycle Week. June 13-21. Big Opening Of Chrome Hill.

LaconiaBikeWeekLaconia Motorcycle Week® starts the real riding season in New England. Riders are ready to roll into Laconia for another year of the country’s most scenic  and diverse riding. From the White Mountains to the Lakes Region and from rolling, rural farms to the quaint, historic towns

The Laconia Rally kicks off with the 9th annual Peter Makris Memorial Run today Saturday morning, June 13 with kickstands up at 11 AM for a State Police escorted, ‘feet-up’ ride around Lake Winnipesaukee, followed by an all-day party at the NASWA Resort.

Chrome-Hill-Ad-CroppedChrome Hill opens at parking lot across from the NASWA Resort. Chrome Hill is an upscale, highly visual and experiential customer venue concept that evolved from the exhibit of G. Smith Motorsports expansive collection of exotic choppers and bikes that occupied the NASWA parking lot last year during Motorcycle Week. This year, on the return of New Orleans-based motorsports company, which now includes Indian and Victory motorcycles in its repertoire—as well as a 2015 Lamborghini and Ferrari–the concept was expanded to include other like-minded exhibitors and vendors who appeal to a biker with expanded tastes for fine goods and gleaming metal. Joining G. Smith Motorsports at Chrome Hill are: Steve Soffa Jewelry & Timepieces, Inferno Eyewear USA, Total Flame Cigars.

Veterans are also supported by the motorcycle community as evidenced by the Veterans’ Appreciation Day at the American Police Motorcycle Museum on Tuesday, June 16 and at the 22nd Annual POW/MIA Freedom Ride at Winnipesaukee Crossing https://www.facebook.com/events/238894516211851/ at 6 PM, Thursday, June 18.

Riders are known for their generosity and giving, so other charity rides throughout the week include The Mae West Memorial Run on Monday, June 15, for the NH Humane Society and the NHMRO Benefit Ride from the Coast to the Mountains on Wednesday, June 17 from Makris Lobster & Steakhouse.

For information, go to Naswa Resort and to register call 888-55-NASWA.

I’m in Worcester, Ma., 2 hours from Laconia, IT’S RAINING ! Last year it didn’t rain at all, all 10 days. It was the BEST WEEK ever ! This will be my 47th Laconia, since 1969. Things have changed, for many years you could pick a spot on Rt. 106 & camp out. Those days, ended in the early 70’s. What started in 1916, is always changing, what never changes, the less change you have in your pocket ! Beware, Be Smart, Be Safe, BOSTON JIM
