Waco Bikers Shootout. New Official Police Statement.

waco1Almost one month after the biker shootout in Waco, Texas the Waco Chief Police Brent Stroman made a more in-depth public information about the May 17 incident that left nine dead, 18 wounded and 177 jailed on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity. Below are his statements.

– Three officers opened fire during the biker melee, firing a total of 12 shots. The police department, however, still has not said who fired the deadly shots. “We did not fire indiscriminately into the crowd. Our officers were restrained” he said.

-Waco police had 16 uniformed officers at the scene, which included supervisors and Special Weapons and Tactics team members. Troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety were also there.

– Stroman said the officers fired only after being shot at during the melee. “No shots were fired by DPS officers,” said Tom Vinger, a spokesman for the agency.

– So far, 44 shell casings have been found at the scene, according to police, and 32 of those recovered casings came from weapons from the suspects. The casings don’t include those from suspects’ revolvers, from which casings must be manually ejected.

– Police have said they knew in advance of a gathering of motorcycle gangs, and possible trouble between two gangs — the Bandidos Motorcycle Club and the Cossacks Motorcycle Club — as well as smaller groups of riders who support those clubs.

waco2– Authorities classify the Bandidos and Cossacks and Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs, saying there are numerous felons among their ranks and that they have long had their hands in drug dealing and other crimes.

– Members of the Bandidos, Cossacks and other groups who gathered at the Twin Peaks restaurant were supposedly participating in a regional meeting of the Confederation of Clubs and Independents, in which bikers discuss news and issues within the motorcycling community. But just prior to the meeting, violence broke out among the bikers and touched off a clash that drew fire from police who say they were protecting themselves or other officers.

– Waco Police officers were in their cars in parking lots adjacent to the restaurant when the shooting starting, according to the statement, and were not pre-positioned in sniper posts.

– Houston Lawyer Paul Looney, whose clients are among those arrested, said he’s spoken with several eyewitnesses who said police took up sniper positions and fired at bikers. “He can say what he wants to say,” Looney said of the chief. “The evidence is ultimately going to be available to us all.”

– SWAT team members had silencers on their rifles that fired .223 caliber ammunition, weapons which are capable of fully automatic fire, but were kept in the semi-automatic mode, meaning one bullet for each time the trigger is squeezed.

– Variety of weapons. The number of weapons found at the scene has varied. Police now put the number at 475, including 151 guns. They also include knives, brass knuckles, batons, tomahawks, weighted weapons, a hatchet, stun guns, bats, clubs, a machete, a pipe, an ax, pepper spray, and a chain. “Many of these were hastily hidden and some were found using metal detectors as they were buried beneath the grass in the dirt,” the statement said.

In related matters, police initially impounded 130 motorcycles and 91 other vehicles, including cars and trucks. As of this week, 52 motorcycles and 47 vehicles have been released to the owners.

What I would like to know is why our ambulance chasing lawyers who harass us at events to sign up with their legal referral services didn’t do anything to help the people(their clients) by getting hold of their fellow criminal defense lawyers to come to the aid of those arrested? As a matter of fact one of these referral firms is the organizer and promoter of the Coilition of Clubs!

i’am not buying it.no blood,no bodies,no one caught it video, new cuts on all the so -called bikers clean jeans all around,no tats fake bikers sitting around like they are a tea party.people standing around with their kids, and info coming from people in the area all say this is bs.that many dead….there would been civilian casualties..remember the casino shootout? this is psyops…jade helm?

Official statement sounds less than complete and less than credible.

I’ll wait for the videos, coroners, and ballistic reports before I make a judgement.

Also too many witnesses heard much more than 12 shots from rifles so something isn’t adding up. Every witness so far has said 1-3 handgun shots followed by a volley of suppressed rifle shots. Some indicate 100 or more others were less specific.

I have to wonder if the facts will ever come to the light of day for us all to see. It would take a trial at this point because the AG refuses to release the various videos and reports. Even then a corrupt judge could make the evidence secret and force a jury to sign a non disclosure agreement. None of which is how we do legal business in America. Apparently the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) does not apply in this particular part of Texas.

Occam’s razor teaches us that the simplest solution is usually the correct one. In this case the simplest explanation is Either the Badidos or the Cossacks intended this to be a fight from the biginning and the cops knew about it. I’ve seen nothing to suggest someone other than a club member started the fighting so the blame for starting a melee rests squarley on the shoulders of the clubs. We could argue the appropriate level of police response all day long but bottom line is if approximately a couple hundred gang members didn’t start a riot in a public parking lot none of this would have happened. The more complicated the conspiracy theory…ie a couple hundred fake club members staged this…the less likely it is that is the correct exlanation.

As time passes the official police story sounds less and less credible. I realize things change as investigations go on but………
This has been a police CYA operation in Whacko since the shooting began.
Motorcycle clubs are NOT street gangs.

    Go to Ageingrebel.com
It looks like the Powers that be knew what was going to happen and may well of had people there to provoke it.

Why would the SWAT team/s have silencers on their rifles?

Why even have rifles in the first place? Rifles are for hunting (ie killing with premeditated accuracy).

This entire thing is getting more bizarre by the day.

There are bikers from Europe visiting the USA en masse all the time. Eg go to any big rally in the US and there are thousands of people from Europe – btw all spending solids foreign currency.

I am sure bikers do not feel like visiting the US and while exploring “rural” USA, find themselves among a group of bikers regarded as “undesirable” by the local authorities, then suddenly end up on the wrong end of a SWAT team with rifles with silencers on! MADNESS…

  11. 11 Carson Jun 14th, 2015 at 5:07 pm

I agree with BobS. The only conspiracy I see is the one people are trying to invent to portray the club members as innocent. I don’t care if the Police fired 1000 rounds, if the bikers were In a gun fight, light them up. If the police knew about the meeting beforehand they have an obligation to be there. Why do people care? this isnt a bikers rights issue, its a criminal issue

  12. 12 John Deaux Jun 14th, 2015 at 5:53 pm

Open your eyes, firing into large groups of people in a public place is wreck less endangerment, firing thousands of rounds in the same environment is attempted murder. Killing 9 people is mass murder, wearing a public service uniform doesn’t change the facts.

  13. 13 James just another Crazy Kiwi Jun 14th, 2015 at 7:52 pm

A month later and no coroners reports and innocent people are supposed to raise a million dollars bail.
Things have changed in the Western world since 9/11 ! Happening all around the world.Peoples rights are being washed away in the name of safety from terrorism. I only see Govts becoming more Nazi like every day. If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear . Joseph Gobels . Sad thing is I doubt if this had happened to a group of African Americans this of been taken so lightly ?

“I don’t care if the Police fired 1000 rounds, if the bikers were In a gun fight, light them up. If the police knew about the meeting beforehand they have an obligation to be there.”

I’ve been around a long time but I can’t remember reading such an ignorant statement. Ever.

First off this Confederation of Clubs and Independents (COCI) meeting has been held every other month for 20 years. This was nothing new. The only difference, to my understanding, was that it was normally held in Austin. For whatever reason they decided to have it in Waco this time.

Second; the next time the “Carson” family has a meeting in a public place and the police find out about it; the police, using your logic Carson, has every right to “light up the Carson family” if someone so much as spits on the ground. Simply being there is enough. Then it would be OK to arrest any living members and make them post a $1 million bail to get out. Use the RICO act as cover.

Oh, and just to make sure there is probable cause to “light up the Carson fam” an undercover cop will be planted months in advance to make sure a little ruckus breaks out so the cops have a supposed reason to light up the Carson fam.

Carson; do you now see how ignorant your statement was?

When they came for the Carson’s I didn’t object because I wasn’t a Carson… This has happened before and not that long ago.

    RE:
“…Things have changed in the Western world …”….Period…!!!

    Yes,
the progressive left has increasingly asserted its agenda as “the authority” for how everyone should be living and what they should be doing.

And so, where the conservatives in the bad old days evaluated how everyone looked and behaved when you were out in public, today your going to be scrutinized on the basis of what activities you are expected to be undertaking and how that might somehow effect everyone else.

In short, if you look like your part of an “abnormal, non-standard problem” for the unwashed masses then expect to get the commensurate amount of authority attention.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

The simple Reality of the world (has been and probably always will be) is to go about your business without drawing attention to yourself….. and certainly refrain from starting fights in public bathrooms.

Not one word of why the ATF was there beforehand with all the local and state agencies. Just doesnt wash. The ATF is known for their making up false narratives to make themselves look good and here we have the local PD keeping quiet about them being there beforehand. The feds are sending a message wonder what it is.

You know, we are not dealing with the Boy Scouts, here.
Regardless of what the cops are saying (probably lying )
You don;t go into a public place to start a “beef”
Scuffle turns into a fight, which turns into a riot & it is TEXAS !!!
1 guy flashes a gun, for whatever reason, and it’s all over now !!!!
Where is Walker, Texas Ranger, when you need him !!!!!!!

1> from NCOM Christian Unity re: Donations to aid families of detainees in Waco

    Date: Mon, Jun 8, 2015
    From: ebenezerstone@hotmail.com

The NCOM Christian Unity Council has approved a funding mechanism for aiding families of detainees from the Waco incident. Donations are tax deductible, and those who would like the deduction must request such along with their name and address to receive it.
Funds received will be used for the following: assisting the families of detainees in their practical needs – giving gas cards so they can visit their family member, grocery gift cards, direct bill paying assistance, etc.NONE of the funds will be used for legal defense. A small percentage of the funds will be used for transportation and lodging for chaplains and facilitators to the families. The impact on these families is huge and we expect to raise about $50,000.
Texas COC & I is gathering a valid contact list of detainees and their families and some of their needs. The Christian Unity and Motorcycle Resource Teams of Texas will assist in assessing needs, disbursements and doing works of service for the families. We will invite mrts from other states to help minister to needs if we need them.
Presently, Christian Unity chaplains members have been on call to go to court with wives of detainees, assist in picking up releasees and delivering them home. Lately, wait times for releases have run over 8 hours. Some have released at 2:00 in the morning. Our chaplains wait for the releases. One of our Council members has become minister of record and is driving to the Waco Jail 2 days at a time to meet with detainees. Others are bringing food items to families. Any assistance you provide will help us to serve the biker community in practical ways. Thank you for caring.
We hope to gain another funding mechanism that accepts credit cards. When we do, we will send that out as well. Go fund me has shut down many accounts that were for Waco bikers.
Please feel free to share this with anyone that you think would be interested in helping.
Send checks or money orders (no cash) made out to SHIELD OF FAITH to:
    Texas Christian Unity

    NCOM Affiliates to Hire Ex-Texas Ranger to investigate;
Urges Confederation of Clubs to Continue to Meet

June 8, 2015 — The National Coalition Of Motorcyclists (NCOM) ties together all of the country’s Confederation Of Clubs and Independents (COC&I) across more than 35 states. These organizations have successfully fostered a spirit of collaboration among diverse motorcycle clubs, independents and other legislative organizations from across the country for over 30 years. NCOM’s board of directors along with a team of lawyers with Aid to Injured Motorcyclists (AIM) educate, help pass legislation, and provide legal guidance to help improve the quality of life for those who choose to enjoy the road on two wheels.

More than three weeks have passed and NCOM has reserved its reaction waiting for Waco Authorities to sort through the details about what happened that tragic afternoon. However, it is difficult to stand by and watch the continued abuse of American constitutional rights at every turn. More than 140 innocent citizens, who were not involved in the tragedy, have been locked up for an unreasonable amount of time. They have also suffered a basic lack of humanitarian services while being held with disregard for the financial impact on the livelihoods of individuals who happen to ride a motorcycle. These are all innocent victims.

Yes, a crime took place while the local COC&I organizers were preparing for the meeting. Yes, there were lives tragically lost. We want answers as to how and why this happened. We don’t have confidence in local authorities after they continued changing stories, disregarded the facts, and continue to violate the rights of citizens. NCOM, the Confederation of Clubs, and lawyers with AIM are hiring a former Texas Ranger to learn the truth as to who was responsible for the violence at our Texas Region 1 COC&I meeting and expose the many violations of basic human rights of those arrested and who continue to be held. We pursue claims against those who have, and continue to violate the rights of citizens merely because they ride a motorcycle.

We are also asking all COC&I regions in Texas and around the country to continue their meetings as scheduled. We are encouraging them to have a lawyer with AIM present to help work with local authorities and media to avoid any misunderstandings. This is an opportunity for COC&I’s throughout Texas and around the country to raise awareness about all the positive, productive things that are being done for all American Bikers – both patch holders and independents.

NCOM, the Confederation of Clubs, and lawyers with AIM are committed to making certain that the innocent lives lost, the devastating financial impact and the sacrifice of loved ones as a result of this tragic event in Waco will not be in vain. Our organizations will push forward continuing our collaborative work that will promote the truth that our rights as Americans are universal and should be upheld no matter if you ride a motorcycle or not.

    Right on!

It’s about time someone starts investigating the lies told by the police. I know it took some time, but NCOM, AIM, and the Lawyers who represent bikers are going to get to the bottom of this with the help of Texas Rangers. Too many arrests to justify their paranoid crap about all 170 as conspiracy to murder, bombing cops, 1000s of weapons, etc.

Only liars could come up with this BS and Texas Judges better look out for American civilians and not these lying cops and Feds. Makes me sick. If they were black we might get this out into the news.

Waco was the place the Branch Dividian’s were put to death by Janet Reno and the ATF. They could have arrested The leader of their sect anytime but decided a siege was what was merited. The idea Law Officials don’t make bad calls doesn’t hold water.

In my recollection their has been no club to club killings during sanctioned neutral territory meetings such as the regular NCOM or NCOC meetings. This has been true for years. The only times their have been killings between clubs have been during non sanctioned events such as the Casino killings.

Now think about it – you have a couple hundred club members meeting in a eatery for a sanctioned neutral meet up to discuss club related issues. Everyone at this meeting knows there are a very large number of well armed police hanging around outside ready to shoot at a moments notice should any thing take place.

If you think it was the clubs fault then everyone inside the establishment had a death wish – they all wanted to commit suicide en masse even the person who started it. Why? Because they all know what happens when you start taking pop shots at law enforcement persons – you get killed.

My thoughts are still just that thoughts I do not have a hard and fast opinion. I would love to see an outside investigation take place and use logic not bias to unearth the truth.

What I do believe is this – only a fool would decide to start something in a public place with a bunch of well armed officers watching and during a sanctioned meet up that had been going on for years.

Swat was using suppressed .223’s (AR style rifles) but they had no advance planning or strategy? 1. One thing cops can’t stop doing, no matter what, is being cops. Even when they are sitting around drinking a beer with buddies or family, they can’t turn it off. For them to claim that they had foreknowledge of this meeting, who the players were and that there would likely be trouble but made no plans defensive or offensive? That simply does not ring true. 2. For anyone here to say that just because there were armed officers present, means there is no way one of these bone headed clubbers would start a brawl is also not based in reality. If you have spent anytime around patches at all, you know the more of them present, the more bowed up they get. My point is there is plenty of fault to go around. A meeting place where families dine is a mistake, we have ours at Legions and VFW’s. Even though the COC was designed to prevent these types of incidents, refer to #2. The real victims here are the folks still in jail who were scooped up for wrong place, wrong time, and every other motorcycle rider out there. The activity and lifestyle of riding doesn’t belong to any group, period. The actions of the few clubbers and law enforcement at this event has put all who ride in a negative light.
