Went to the show in Daytona. My observation: there were quite a few excellent paint jobs on not so good bikes and not so good paint jobs on excellent bikes. Go figure…

A paint job should also be considered in term of coherence with the build and its style.

With the predicted numbers for the Sturgis Rally this year we should see a large number of entries that I for one, am looking forward to viewing.

A good paint job doesn’t make a good bike but a bad paint job kills a good bike. Except for some period correct bikes, flames are for those without imagination. Also the easiest to do custom paint job. So less merit.

I bet Dave is a blast to hang with. I would love to observe and learn from his lens on judgement day.
